"Made of Honor" had some feel-good moments, and the stars, especially Michelle Monaghan as the leading lady, were engaging. She had a perfect balance of girl-nextdoor and sexy and seems just right for this genre. Patrick Dempsey showed he can be the romantic lead in a comedy as well as a television doctor. But the plot was preposterous and absolutely cookie-cutter--a Jane Austen novel without the witty narrator, an absolutely predictable "This will never work out. omigod, it finally worked out" romance. Scotland looked beautiful, but the thought-count of this was about zero.

Enjoyable with a few funny scenes but other than that it is a typical chick flick with no surprises. It is basically a grown up version of the earlier Dempsey movie Can't Buy Me Love (which is much better than this movie)

I was afraid that all the "good parts" had been shown in previews but I was pleasantly incorrect. The movie was delightful and engaging, a chick flick that even guys will like. The character relationships are totally believeable and you easily find yourself drawn into thier relationships with each other. Although the movie has a PG-13 rating i didnt feel like I would be my 13 year old, it will be perfectly fine on TV but felt some of the dialogue was a little much for younger teens

i didnt expect to be surprised during this movie and i wasn't. what i thought would happen did and to be honest, that wasn't disappointing. i thought the two leads were both cute and seemed to be enjoying themselves. a good chick flik for when you want to just escape for a little while.

I went because I thought Patrick would be good. I was wrong. I found the story line just plodding along. I am a guy so maybe I am missing it. Maybe it is more of a chick flick. The theatre was sold out at each showing. While it was not a terrible movie I would not recommend it.

Made of Honor was an entertaining but entirely generic and predictable romantic comedy. The screenplay is full of cheesy and predictable lines and scenes. While mildly entertaining and filled with beautiful people it felt forced, the lines that were supposed to be funny weren't, and the chemistry between Patrick Dempsey and Michelle Monaghan was unfortunately missing. My advice, wait until it comes out on DVD, its not worth the $9 to see it in the theatre.

This movie was cute and predictable, but a nice chick-flick to lose yourself in. I wouldn't let my teen daughter see it, as Patrick Dempsey portrays a sleep-with-them and leave-them kind of guy. The theater was filled with women!

Everyone in the audience really wanted to like the movie - but you could hear a pin drop until he fell down....the comedic timing was off from the beginning. The MOH duties were over the top and silly -- no way all could have been pulled off in such a short time. Should have tried an engagement party - with more interaction between the "friends" to add to the chemistry being finally realized. They needed more time together in scenes. Was it lust or real love - because he was such a playboy? Please let Mr. Dempsey's wife continue to do his hair because this cut and the cut in the Disney film were amateurist and unflattering.

Let's face it...anyone who is going to see this movie is going because they want to see a light hearted, romantic comedy not some serious flick. Something that we don't see too often today because we are so mired in teen focused, or violent movies.
While this story line has been done before, it was an absolute delight. It was cast very well, and delivered very well. For what this movie is supposed to be, I give it an A+. It was fun and I enjoyed every minute of it. We all need a vacation from real life now and then. Enjoy!

This movie had some hillarious moments. I thought that some of the editing was a little jolting, but I did like some of the slow-motion action to emphasize a couple of the jokes. Patrick Dempsey is a little more clean-shaven, which I think makes him look more handsome. I love the way the relationship between Patrick Dempsey's character (Tom) and Michelle Monaghan's character (Hannah) develop. Sydney Pollack is hillarious as Tom's father, the king of marrying on a whim and a pre-nup and divorcing soon afterwards. Great date movie. Something for both the guys and the girls to enjoy.

Love Patrick! I'd watch him taking out the trash! He's adorable. The movie was good, might have been great, but I felt there were way to many long previews (and commercials) prior to the movies debut. Hollywood need not let the "cats out of the bag" so to speak. We need more surprises and less info about good (great ) movies. I thought it particularly stupid of Hollywood to preview a scene near the end of the movie. Lets face facts, all they have to do is show Patrick Dempsey and they'll sell the tickets! Still, I did enjoy it and there were a few surprises and laughs.

The movie was good, but it is the same love story that we have all seen before. Guy and girl become the best of friends. The guy does not want a commitment until girl finds love. If Patrick Dempsey wasn't so darn cute this movie would be sunk. The storyline (so close to My Best Friend's Wedding it almost feels illegal) is cute but it's SO predictable.....all the way to the very end. Dempsey saves the day. He makes it bearable to watch and with a "rolling of the eyes" every five minutes I made it to the end. You need to see P.S. I Love You if you want a really good comic love story.

Michelle & Patrick & Sydney Pollack have star quality for days, so they're lots of fun to watch. There was some fresh writing, but it could have been funnier (ala SERENDIPITY). Check out Michelle in her one-line role in UNFAITHFUL as Gere's assistant. Since I tried to cast Patrick Dempsey in a network pilot in 1984, but couldn't get my committee of producers to see what a star he was, it's sure gratifying to see him finally recognized. The movie had great music too (particularly the opening), & with the addition of a song by Keaton Simons, it might have even soared higher.

This is just a fun, entertaining story!! A real "feel good" movie. Lots of funny scenes. Good casting. It is one that I would go see again and I don't like to pay to see a movie twice!!!

I enjoyed this movie very much. The relationship and interplay between the two main character, Tom and Hannah, was clever and enjoyable. I also appreciate the treatment of marriage in the movie as desirable and worth the fight to have the right person for the rest of your life. The single drawback was the scene in the restaurant when Tom meets Colin, the fiance, for the first time. The director swilved the camera around in a circle from the couple to Tom and around again several times. It was just too much. Once or twice would have been okay, but I actually had to close my eyes. The movement was just too small and fast. To me, that was the only drawback to this very clever and enjoyable movie.

A nice romantic comedy. Wasn't expecting much from previous reviews I had heard on the tv and radio. Took my 12 year old daughter and her friends to see it and I actually enjoyed it. I don't think it will win any awards but I don't feel as though I wasted my money. I didn't get a strong connection between Patrick Dempsey and Michelle Monaghan but the comedy made up for it and the movie moved at a good pace. Overall I would recommend this film.
