I am not into the martial arts just for the sack of action. I liked its use in Kill Bill but this movie had the guys flying through the air like angles. After 15 minutes I walked out.
I went because I thought Patrick would be good. I was wrong. I found the story line just plodding along. I am a guy so maybe I am missing it. Maybe it is more of a chick flick. The theatre was sold out at each showing. While it was not a terrible movie I would not recommend it.
I was not sure about this movie but I was willing to give it a chance because I like Tina Fey's work on "30 Rock". I found this movie to be funny and the story line moved right along.
Robert Downey Jr., Terrence Howard, Jeff Bridges, Gwyneth Paltrow, Samuel L. Jackson all did a wonderful job making this movie a success. The action was not over the top. It had a good story line. I liked the fact that the bad guys were realistic vs. some factious eastern European type. Robert owned the character and I think Jeff did some of his best work of his carreer.
