I liked the movie, but then I would probably like any movie which starred Patrick Dempsey. While it was predictable I really did enjoy it and it was filmed in Scotland where my name and my ancestry is from so it was very enjoyable. Nothing unusual here, best friend realizes what he will be losing when Hanna marries somebody else. The new part is Hanna also realizes that her new beau isn't what she thought he was. I went to this movie, like most women to watch Patrick Dempsy, he is so cute. In this movie he was still cute, but the hairstyle sucked, anyway it was very predictable and really the best characters were the little ol lady and one of the brides maids, they stole the show. The Movie was very cute and romantic. I saw it with my girlfriend and we enjoyed it a lot. i do think that some of the charactars played some very insignificant roles that took away from the movie. Also i dont think that the made of honor went to great enough lengths to get our bride. Terrible movie. Dumb script. Clunky direction. I know Patrick Dempsey must have read it before he committed to it, but Lord what a dud! I felt sorry for him the whole time. Light hearted is one thing; tired, fake, studpid is another. With all of the smart comedies of late - Sideways, Friends with Money, Juno, Definitely Maybe, etc. - how could anyone think this thing would fly. Very few laughs in the theatre I was in.
