Terrible movie. Dumb script. Clunky direction. I know Patrick Dempsey must have read it before he committed to it, but Lord what a dud! I felt sorry for him the whole time. Light hearted is one thing; tired, fake, studpid is another. With all of the smart comedies of late - Sideways, Friends with Money, Juno, Definitely Maybe, etc. - how could anyone think this thing would fly.
Very few laughs in the theatre I was in. With a cross section of an audience.
Gorgeous shots of Scotland though - and a very funny beginning during the credits.
