Dark Knight was much better than I anticipated. Keith Leger's portrayal of the Joker was indeed worthy of an Oscar nomination. Great special effects!! The type of movie you need to see in the theater to get the full impact.

This is my first movie review. This movie surprised and enthralled me so greatly, I felt moved to respond to the email inviting me to review. After reading "lattewarrior's" excellent review, however, I feel I cannot add to what he/she superbly wrote. Kudos to movietickets.com for its high standards for featured reviews (grammar, spelling, prose, content, etc.), and to "lattewarrior" for such a well-written piece. In short, Ledger redefines The Joker, Bale communicates the humanity of Batman as we've never before seen, and all the other characters are equally outstanding, not the least of which is Michael Caine. See this movie. At least twice.

This was a very good Batman movie, with litle tidbits for the diehard fan while not penalizing someone who has never seen any of the rest. Heath Ledger is fantastic as his role in the Joker.

If you have not seen the Dark Kight then I would really recommend you going out tonight and watching the most amazing movie. There is a little bit of everything in this movie. And it was Heath's last movie, so go in memory of him or something.

I was never given the chance as a kid to be interested in comics such as Batman or Spiderman or any of those, but after seeing this movie I have become completely enthralled in the story of Batman. I highly recommend this movie but I agree with other reviews in saying that this movie is very borderline whether it should be PG-13 or Rated R. It is something that I know would scare young children especially, but even still I think this is a must see movie. Another aspect of it is how many people who have never even picked up a batman comic can pick up this story while people who were avid readers of the Batman comic catch things such as foreshadowing for Two-face and such events.

This is the best of the Batman movies to date - the bad guy was really bad even when he was "beaten" and the good guys as in real life have a flaw and sometimes just as in our own lives things just don't work out even when you know you've made all the right moves and it will never be - alright. Really played well!

This movie was awesome and I'm not even into super heros. The only cheezy part was that batman changed his voice when he spoke and it sounded hilarious. I will say that this movie is not for children and people with weak stomachs. Joker is a freak.

Movie was very very long. 45 minutes shorter it would of been really good. Dragged quite a bit with storyline never ending. This wasn't one of the better movies. Joker was good, but couldn't help the long, boring storyline.

If you want to compare this summer's comic hero movies, I'll take this one over Iron Man. Actually, I think it's my favorite comic movie ever. Ledger is great, but I don't think Gyllenhal is "hot" enough to be Bale's leading lady. I woulda picked Kate Beckinsdale to be the love interest.
The cinematography in this movie was exceptional with some cool overhead shots of Tokyo and Gotham.

The previous review covered it all! There's nothing "camp" or "comic book" about this movie. The actors draw us in to believing all this could really happen,and each is perfect in their role. The action seldom slows down enough to allow your blood pressure to stabilize, and I found myself actually reacting out loud several times! I don't think the movie is at all suitable for children, because it is, indeed, very dark throughout. Each time I thought we had reached the end, we were off and running again, but I don't know of anything that should be cut. Just take your heart pills with you when you go see this awesome movie!

I would have to say that this has to be the best Batman adaptation I have ever seen. Heath Ledger's acting in this was superb and the surprise addition of Two-Face was excellently done.

Too long by far. Too many plot turns. Some pursuit sequences are so confusing you can't tell who is chasing whom. Too much of a shoot-em-up, blow-em-up, crash-em-up. Heath Ledger's performance is really good, but this movie is a mess. When did Batman movies quit being fun to watch?

This was the second viewing of the film for me. I really enjoyed it, Heath Ledger was outstanding as the Joker. WHat a loss to the acting world.
I would recommend seeing this film more than once as you miss a lot the first time round.
I would question why Batman spoke in the gravelly voice this time

Not knowing this was a comic book movie, I thought the content was very dark, although I thought the acting was good.
Heath Ledger was very good and very believable as a psycho.
The one really stupid thing was Batman's voice. What's with that?

I'm not a big Batman fan; however, the overall movie was great (even for girls). I thought that Christian Bale's voice as Batman was odd, but overall he did a great job with the character. The defining and highlight of the movie of course is Heath Ledger. His portrayal of The Joker is 5 stars. He became completely absorbed in his character.

I had very high hopes for this movie, since every single person I asked who had seen it said it was the best movie they had ever seen! I decided to see for myself just how good it really was. So I went with my husband. Afterwards, I triple-checked the movie rating. This is only rated PG-13? First of all, the regular cartoon movie violence, then you add killing, blood, pencil-through-head, and the superhero not doing much good until the movie is almost over and everybody has already died! Heath was the ONLY good thing about this. I wish that I could write a positive review, like all my friends who saw it, but I can't, because that would be lieing. So please, spare yourself a Dark Night, and go see something else. Anything besides this!

This was a very good movie. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of action or batman movies. This was the best batman movie that I have seen. However, I did enjoy Tommy Lee Jones' role as Two-Face in Batman Forever more than Aaron Eckhart's role.
