I had very high hopes for this movie, since every single person I asked who had seen it said it was the best movie they had ever seen! I decided to see for myself just how good it really was. So I went with my husband. Afterwards, I triple-checked the movie rating. This is only rated PG-13? First of all, the regular cartoon movie violence, then you add killing, blood, pencil-through-head, and the superhero not doing much good until the movie is almost over and everybody has already died! Heath was the ONLY good thing about this. I wish that I could write a positive review, like all my friends who saw it, but I can't, because that would be lieing. So please, spare yourself a Dark Night, and go see something else. Anything besides this!
I had very high expectations for this film. I love Steve Carrel, and all of his movies so far have been outstanding! But this movie, was far below the usual. First of all, was the woman evil or not? And the whole time, Dwane was a double agent? And some scenes could've been taken out, definatly. Did we really have to see a guy empty out his barf bag after jumping out of a plane? Was that really nessasary? And the scene where the 2 men accidentally kissed? Did we need to see that? Did it really add anything to the movie except a few giggles from the audience, and kids making all these noises and faces? Get Smart was not a very smart movie. Was not a fan of the origanal series, and still not a fan now. Please go see another movie, and spare yourself from wasting a night of your life watching this.
Wall-E is a small little robot that is all alone on earth, with only a little cricket to keep him company. But when he meets Eve, a robot sent from space to detect life here on earth, he immediatly falls in love with her. And when Eve gets put back on the spaceship, Wall-E follows her and gets himself caught in space. This movie is one of Pixar's best. The animation was great, and the whole story showed a good message to kids that are watching this movie. Though there are only 20 minutes of dialogue in the movie, this still is a one-of-a-kind classic, that is going to fill the hearts of kids everywhere. Wall-E, like most of Pixar's movies, is kid-friendly. No use of foul language throughout the movie. Adults will even enjoy it. Bring the whole family, and settle down and watch the Best Movie of 2008!
