This movie truly shows us how sometimes only one actor can fill a role, Heath Ledger was the man, and I mean only man for the job. After the first intro scene where Heath reveals the joker, i was hooked from then on. Christian Bale once again had a good performance, and the ending makes you want to stay in theatres for the next available showing. Definatly worth your time

Having seen all previous Batman films I went to this one with an open mind. This was by far darker and more sinister and that's exactly the point. Yes the voice sounds strange but it has too. If he sounds exactly like Bruce then where's the mystery. As for the Joker, nothing negative here either. Nothing corny about this clown, just pure mayhem. Utterly cold and calculating he kills for the sake of killing and that'll send shivers down your spine. Fine acting by all involved, especially by Ledger who in my opinion should get an award for his brilliant performance. I must add though that without the supporting cast it would not have been half as good. Batman rocks!

The dark knight was the best movie i have seen this year, i keep hearing criticism about bale's batman voice but if you asked me thats how batman is supposed to sound, this isn't your grandpas' batman nor is it the camp of marvel movies (fantastic four, spiderman 3) this is how a comic book movie is supposed to be made!

Heath Ledger was brilliant. He created the sort of joker that was very unique to the character yet very fitting. Kinda like Jack-Johnny Depp in Pirates.. Great movie!!!

I finally saw Dark Knight and Wow! I have to say that this movie went beyond my expectations. I've seen the original Batman movie with Jack Nicholson playing the Joker, but Heath Ledger portrayed the real Joker from the DC graphic novels. The portrayal of the psychotic clown was pretty flawless. If rumors are true, Heath should receive a posthumous Oscar for his acting. Christian Bale did a good job of playing Batman again, but I will have to admit, he could limit the exaggeration of his voice. Arron Eckhart as Harvey Dent aka Two-Face did a great job portraying the corruptible DA and man the makeup effects were so realistic. All in all the best movie to watch this summer.

The character who really makes the movie interesting is the Joker. He made me laugh so hard because Ledger had so much charisma and he really pulled it off as the Joker. I would totally recommend this movie but just because I loved Ledgers acting and not because of the batman character itself. Batman sounded so fake. Christians Bale "deep" voice sounded ridiculous and his act was boring.

Went a little too long. Could have cut 1/2 hour off no problem. Good story, great special effects and strong characters make this a movie worth seeing. The big screen makes it better, but if you have a decent tv at home, then you can wait for the DVD and not miss much. Heath Ledger did a good job, but shouldn't get an Oscar just because he died. The role wasn't that great.

Excellent edition of the Batman franchise. Christian Bale is the best Batman so far - with his polish & aloofness, he strikes the right balance. The struggle of being good while fighting evil is constantly there. Ledger is perfect as the Joker - deeply disturbing with none of the farce of Nicholson's Joker.

No plot to speak of--hodgepodge of sequences that are not logically related. Joker is played well, but some of his schemes not at all believable, e.g., how he manages to place two or three dozen huge explosives charges in a hospital. Good vs. evil in all of us theme fails miserably--one of Batman's "sins" is to eavesdrop on all mobile phones in Gotham.

I'm not usually into this kind of movie. I didn't see any of the previous Batman movies. I only went to see this because my son wanted to go. I'm glad I did. Great movie!!! The casting was perfect. I especially liked Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox. You've got to see his response when the dweeby accountant says he's going to expose Batman's true identity. Go see this movie!

Simply. The movie is very dark. But, very entertaining. I would not recommend for young children, but for adults, this Batman packs a great storyline and plenty of action. Beware of the violence and suspense if you're weak of heart and stomach.

This is by far our favorite Batman movie. The story holds up, it is extremely well-acted and it looks amazing on screen. It is significantly darker in nature than earlier incarnations and has plenty of images that will not be everyone's cup of tea. We saw children in our screening that were well under 13 and wondered how they slept that night ;-). Nonetheless, Dark Night is on our "must purchase" blu-ray list when and if that happens. Enjoy!

Well, after a huge hype, I was pretty disappointed with this movie. The acting was good and the special effects fantastic but the storyline wasn't particularly great. The film was too long and complicated. I hate it that there was no link with the previous batman movie about the joker, made no sense to me.

It's rare to get a great action movie that is also deep and intelligent. This is such a movie. Be careful with younger kids, though. It is dark as many have noted. Heath Ledger truly did a magnificent job as the Joker.

I felt as if this was not a comic book movie, but more realistic than many other action movies. The acting was outstanding, and the plot took some amazing twists. We took our 10yr old son, and although there was no blood, it was borderline on too much violence. But what do you really expect? There pure insanity of The Joker was even more disturbing.

I took my mom to this movie with me. I am NOT a die-hard Batman fan NOR did I see all of the prior Batman movies. I enjoyed the series on t.v. while I was growing up. I have to say...this movie was A W E S O M E !! It had the right amounts of action combined with drama, suspense and a mild love story. And yes, Mr. Heath Ledger gave an award winning performance! It was time well spent.....
