This movie is amazing. Nothing will ever top it watching this movie for the first time was unbelivable. The joker stole the show when he was on screen it was inspiring. when he fell of the building and was laughing i really enjoyed that. and the scene where he tell batman HIT ME was amazing. all the actors did a fantastic job

At first I was just going to state: This movie was spectacular, if you haven't seen it by now, you should...however, I have to add that this is one of the greatest movies I have ever had the pleasure of viewing. Though it is dark, sadistic, even masochistic at times, it's more realistic than any of the other Batman movies. The Joker's (nurse) scene as he's walking away from the hospital? Yeah, that made the movie for me.

This movie is little more than a propaganda film used to condition people to a rational for torture. It is a very violent, sadistic and cruel film that carefully splices nice socially acceptable morals on top of brutality. The film is long only because no one but the Joker can shoot. Promoted for it's good acting what you see is the real motivation for making the film.

Wow--I have been a batman fan since childhood (I am 64) and THIS is today's Batman at his best. Both Christian Bale and Heath Ledger are riveting and deeply nuanced. Heath, in his reptilian evilness is mesmerizing.
Michael Cane and Morgan Freeman, old pros that they are make the movie even better!
Golly Gee Batman, you've grown up!

I am a huge fan of the Batman movies - even the classics. After seeing Batman Begins, I expected a lot of this movie, even though I tried not to, since sequels generally suck. The Dark Knight COMPLETELY blew my expectations out of the water. It is absolutely amazing. Tons of action, humor, suspense. It is perfect. I have seen it about 8 times now, and it just gets better every time.

Please refer to my earlier review of the IMAX version as well. Loved it and then saw it in a regular multiplex large theater and then in a special classic Cinerama style theater. Altogether saw it 5 times and in a different style of theater each time (I rarely see any movie more than once). Not much more can be said about this movie masterpiece which just happens to be a comic book movie. Heath Ledger is mesmerizing as The Joker and one has to wonder how much he was able to separate himself from the role as he appears to be so fully submerged. Holds you captive from start to finish. An evolutionary movie for this genre and movies in general.

I loved the first film and this one tops it. Heath was a wonderful Joker. I was hesitant because I loved Nicholson so much as the Joker. But, I was not disappointed. The action is intense. You will be glued to your seats and not be able to get up even though it is a long movie. I did not mind the length. You could not take one piece out or it would have been ruined. Bale takes my breath away as Batman. This movie is worth the money to buy or rent. The most exciting movie this year by far.

This is the worst movie I have seen in months: boring...boring...boring. Not even the special effects are convincing (too many special effects kill any kind of effect on the viewer). The actors are not very good (with the exception of Ledger).

This is by far the best movie ever. Mostly because of Heath Ledger's amazing take on a true psycho villian. I've seen this movie 7 times and it gets better everytime I watch it! I thought this was a great movie but definitely not for kids. The scene where a gun was held to a kid's head was really disturbing - not only for everyone to see but that poor child actor. I thought that was in poor taste. Everything else was great though.

It's a shame that a children's hero needs to be "adultified" to this extent. Batman himself (as well as his supportive staff) were all brilliant (Michael Caine is fantastic as Alfred); however, Heath Ledger's Joker--while superbly acted--was way too insanely horrific for children (of course, I grew up on Adam West's Batman when children were allowed to be children and imagination was encouraged). I would never recommend this for anyone under 17.

WOW!! Heath Ledger as the Joker STOLE this movie and will surely win Best Actor. This movie is good enough overall to warrant a nomination for Best Picture, even though it is a "comic book fantasy". Non stop action, twists and turns, great special effects, excellent screenplay and directing. The bar has been set for all movies of this genre.

I thought Batman Begins was amazing and the Dark Knight blew it out of the water. I thought the movie was incredible and I can't think of any issues I had with it. The acting, directing and writing were just so good. I attribute most of the success of the movie to Chris Nolan because he's done such a perfect job of capturing the real essence of Batman. This movie could not have been any cooler and Heah Ledger -- holy crap, what an amazing performance. Go see it as soon as possible!
