I never followed the comics of Iron Man, or really any other comic book series that came out to movies, BUT this one was probably the best one yet! I really liked Spiderman 1, but this movie topped that one. So much action, and a great story too. Robert Downey Jr. does an amazing job at his role of Tony Stark. Would recommend to anyone!!!

This movie was a lot better than I expected. I figured it was going to be a "Good" movie but it ended up being a "Fantastic" movie. Jon Favreau definitely found his speciality.

My wife and I are huge fans of the live action comic book genre and we are always sceptical of how hollywood will treat our favorite characters. All I have to say is "THIS MOVIE ROCKED". Favreau did play a little fast and loose with the actual comic content but the spirit was definitely there and the movie was visually stunning as well. It was well cast and the script was well written. This is a bluray dvd that will be added to my collection!

Obv this is a superhero movie, so some of the plot stuff (especially relating to the government) is outrageous. No, you can't call off fighter jets just by saying "no it's okay to leave it alone" and hanging up a phone. BUT, this movie RULED. R.D.J. is amazing - witty, fit, believable (somehow) as a schmuck and a a heart-of-gold hero. The special effects were amazing, the iron man suit is fab, and everythign else was just good. SEE IT.

This movie has just become my all time favorite movie! I've never gone to see a movie twice while it was in the theater but I will be with this one. The effects and the suit were amazingly real. Now if only the people doing the incredible hulk would take lessons from this movie, maybe it wont end up stinking as bad as the first one.

Fun, engrossing, and Robert Downey Jr. is terrific. Impossible to imagine anyone else playing Tony Stark.
Gwyneth Paltrow is gorgeous and believable and Jeff Bridges does his normal great work.
Go see this movie. And it's okay to take the kids -- the bedroom scene is quick and unoffending.

OMG. This was one of the best action movies that I've seen in a long while. The action is like that of Spiderman 1 & Independence Day. Although you're siting for a little over 2 hours, you don't have a clue. It's non stop action from the very beginning. I love it so much, I'd go see it again. I took my kids and they couldn't help but talk about it.
AWESOME . . . MIND-BLOWING ACTION . . . OFF THE CHAIN SPECIAL EFFECTS.
You gotta see it.

What a great movie! The characters, story line, acting and action were great. It was great to be able to take the whole family - a couple of suggestive scenes made us nervous with the kids, but they did not cross the line for us.

I went with my family and we all enjoyed the movie. My 12 year old daughter gave it an 8.5 out of 10...but later explained that was only because she didn't like loud explosions! The plot was well throught out and Robert Downey Jr was excellent in this role. Go see this movie! It is by far one of the best comic book movies to be made.

The movie did not disappoint. The action was great, but did not overshadow the story. Robert Downey Jr. not only surprised me with his ability to portray a comic book hero, but brought depth to a character that could have easily been a static figure. Cheers to the supporting cast as well. I loved Gwyneth Paltrow’s character (loved the freckles!), but don’t understand why Tony Stark did not have a lustful interest in her before he became Iron Man. She was hot! Jeff Bridges and Terrance Howard were also terrific!.

Robert Downey Jr. was born to play this role. What a way to comeback. He always had the potential for something great but lost his way due to drug addiction. Well he now has this vehicle which will surely elevate his stature in Hollywood. This is surely not the end of the Iron Man Series. I have to say everything about this movie was over the top but done tastefully. The special effects are spectacular. Go see it you will not be dissapointed.

As a fan of Marvel comics and movies in general, I was a little skeptical of John Favreau's interpretation of Iron Man. He directed Daredevil which I enjoyed but was far from excellent. I never should have worried.
Everything about this movie blew me away. The acting and sense of drama was fantastic. The integration of technology into every aspect of Tony Stark's private and personal life were exactly how it should be for Iron Man. The computer graphics were absolutely stunning! I was blown away. It is hard to say more, just go see the movie and have some fun. You should enjoy it even if you are not a comic book fan.

Saw Iron Man last night, and simply loved it. An intelligent and funny script, marvelous performances -- especially by Robert Downey, Jr. but also by Gwynneth Paltrow and Jeff Bridges -- and stunning, sophisticated effects. Director Jon Favreau creates just the right mix of action and irony, drama and laughs, and the result is a movie that you can love without necessarily being a big fan of the comic book genre. I'm not all that big a fan of comic book superhero movies myself, but I'll go back to see Iron Man again. It's a hoot.

Enjoyable. Not too silly. Good jokes. Favreau's hair looked fake. I'd watch it again when the DVD comes out. My g-friend liked it (she thought it was about triathalons until I told her about Gwyneth) and there was enough suspense to make her bury her head in my shoulder.

Unbelievable movie, Robert Downey Jr. did an amazing job as Tony Stark capturing his arrogance, sense of humor and style. Loved Jeff Bridges character and as always Jeff was spectacular.
As a comic book fan, I've been highly disappointed by many comic book movies (i.e the early batman movies, Hulk etc.) but this one doesn't disappoint. Jon Favreau must be a comic fan because he stayed true to the characters, the story and cast actors not based on their popularity, but based on the best fit. Bravo Jon on a job well done!!

I wasn't a comic book reader as a kid but I used to love cartoon from the 60's so I really anticipated this one. I thought Robert Downey Jr. was PERFECT for the role of Tony Stark and really carried the film. I typically am not a fan of Gwyneth Paltrow but she was great as Pepper Potts. I really liked the story, the effects, and hope that this wil be series for years to come!

Iron Man far exceeded my expectations. I am not a comic book collector or hardcore fan of the genre but I do identify with the Iron Man character from my childhood and I couldn't imagine a funnier, cooler, more tech savvy rendition than this movie.
It had the perfect balance of humor, action, suspense, romance and gizmos to make everyone in the audience gasp, cheer and laugh right on cue.
Robert Downey, Jr. is, without a doubt, the funniest, smartest, hippest superhero around and great performances and great special effects elevate this film to 'instant classic' status.

I was worried that they would mess this one up, since i was a fan of Iron man as a kid....but they did a great job! Special effects, and sound is awesome, and Robert Downey Jr. is the perfect Tony Stark! I personally enjoyed this more than the Spidey's, X-men, and FF4 movies. People were cheering and clapping during action parts, and a loud applause at the end of the movie.

This movie just flat-out kicks butt! There is not a dull moment at all. All the actors do great in this movie. I'm not a big Gwenyth fan, but was very impressed with her performance. All in all, this is probably the best comic book adaptation yet. In the 2 hour running time, a lot happens but nothing feels rushed or crammed down your throat. Great movie through and through.

This movie was fantastic -- the story line was compelling, and casting Robert Downey Jr. was the element that puts this movie over the top. Downey IS Tony Stark (amazing how life imitates art!); this is sure to be a solid franchise for Marvel.

Pleasantly surprised by the great group of actors in this movie. Robert Downey Jr pulled it off, made Tony Stark come to life. Action scenes were great of course, and the development of the story kept me riveted, always wanting to know what was coming next. Wait until the end of the credits to see SLJ as Nick Fury, head of SHIELD, almost make a promise to us that there will be an East Coast Avengers movie.
The cast was perfectly picked and matched to the characters. Totally believable performances and interactions. Great action sequences and CGI effects (can't tell they're not real).
Will actually spend the money to see this again at the theater... in today's economy, that's saying something.
