My kids made me go to this movie and I thought it would be a drag. I think I liked it better than they even did! I will definately go back to see it again before its out of the theater-maybe this time I'll get a better seat than the very front row. Good show, appropriate for 12-13 kids and actually has a good lesson, too.

This movie was awesome. I would definately recommend seeing it. I will probably go to see it again at the theater & will definately be a must own on DVD. Go see it, you will not be disappointed.

I've had several friends declare this the best comic-book/superhero movie they've ever seen. I'm not ready to overreact quite that much, but it's definitely a must-see for fans of the genre.
The script is pretty tight. It lacked back story in a couple places, but not so much that it detracts from the movie. Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow sparkle, and Jeff Bridges kills. The Stan Lee cameo is like a MasterCard commercial -- priceless. Kudos to Jon Favreau.

I was very impressed with the detail and how thorough this movie was with developing the story. Downey Jr was the perfect cast for Iron Man, and was hilarious throughout the movie.
I would thoroughly recommend this movie to anyone who follows marvel or comic book characters. Although anyone who loves a good action or sci-fi flick will not be disappointed.

i think that this movie was really cool...it had everything that was expected. From the right beggining action to the very end! I also think that Robert was a very well choosen actor to play this role, he was good in every sense that we expected Ironman to be....

I went into this with pretty low expectations. I wasn't a reader of this comic, so don't let that worry you if you are the same. The dialog, acting, and special effects are all A+. There are a few flaws, but they are ultimately insignificant in comparison to everything else. The movie is supposed to be 2hrs & 6min, but when you are watching, it feels closer to 6min. Enjoy!

Iron Man is a thrill a minute. Really shows the anguish he's going through. Robert Downey Jr is a fine actor who captures the exhiliration of being a super hero. The action sequences were exciting; the little bit of comedy added to the movie.

Iron Man was truly a great movie The story was robust, the actors were true to characterization, the cast was absolutely perfect, and the attention to detail and effects were phenomenal.
The movie, absolutely and honestly, is the first Marvel movie to actually feel real while staying true to the comic.

I loved, loved LOVED this movie. It had a couple of provocative pg13 scenes, but not a lot of blood or bad language, the acting and storyline were awesome, Robert Downey, Jr. was unbelievable in every way. Nobody could have pulled this off like he did!
WAIT FOR THE CREDITS TO FINISH ROLLING AT THE END OF THE MOVIE...WORTH IT!

This movie was excellent, fast paced and kept you on your toes. Robert Downey Jr. is awesome as Iron Man. The movie was over before I knew it. If you think this is like sitting through most two hour movies, guess again. What I also liked was they didn't try to add a lover story to it. There is a hint of a love interest, but that is it. John Stark (Iron Man) has his character flaws and you see him grow as a person. I'm trying not to give too much away. I will definitely see this movie at least once more in the theater. I will also add this to my collection of must haves once it is out on DVD.
Bravo...
One other thing, you don't hear Iron Man by Black Sabbath until the credits. The sound track and special effects were Heavy.

I saw this movie twice and it's been a long time since I did that. If you go and you should make sure you STAY through the credits, its well worth it and it should set up the next movie. Also watch for Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark in the next HULK movie coming out in June 2008.

It started a little slowly and some of the humor was a bit too simple. Not enough of the actual Iron Man fighting. This movie was good but could have used a more mature sense of humor, more action, and better editing. 80% building a suit, 15% drama, 5% fighting.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect going into the theatre ... but was 'quite' plesantly surprised by both the quality of the story, the action, and perhaps most of all ... the humor. Robert Downey has sardonic down to a science, and everyone in the supporting cast was at the top of their games. 'Highly' recommended. Can't wait for the inevitable sequel.

Well, maybe...if you don't count Batman Begins. Otherwise, this movie is awesome. Keeping enough of the elements of the comic book to be faithful, it succeeds in updating the story, and throws in enough foreshadowing to keep the fanboys and geeks howling for the sequel. Count me as one. The casting of Robert Downey Jr. was the masterstroke of this movie and Terence Howard, Jeff Bridges and Gwyneth Paltrow are almost as good. Go see it today. And sit through the credits.

The movie was excellent, the story was good, acting was superb. As other reviewers pointed out, it's a long movie, but it doesn't feel long. In fact, if anything, it felt to short. There were many details I wished they'd covered further, even at the expense of making the movie longer. I hope a Director's Cut is released soon with lots of additional footage. If I had anything bad to say about the movie, it would be accepting the breakdown of the main antagonist. I find it difficult to believe someone that calculating and cold turning so irrational at the end. Regardless, it's safe to say this is the best film I've seen in the theater in over a year.

This was a FANTASTIC movie. It had all the action elements with a little physical humor to go along with it. The entire audience, which was very diverse in terms of age, gender, etc. was really into it. Plan to go see again and I NEVER spend money on a movie (at the theatre) twice. I will with this one. Worth the price of admission!

This was probably the best movie I've ever seen. I was impressed with the technology in Transformers; but Iron Man went above and beyond... I was amazed. it hooked me at the beginning, and kept my attention the whole time--even thought it was 2 hours long. I want to see it again, and I'm definitely buying it when it comes out.

This movie was outstanding...totally enjoyed it! One of the best movies I've seen in a while. Right there with Batman Begins. Loved the technology jumps and visuals. Robert Downey Jr. is my hero! Gwyneth is a total hot babe. Terrence is, as expected, awesome. Jon Favreau is super-talented and has brought the vision to life...The audience and me alternated between engrossed in the suspense, and cracking up laughing.

I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about how this movie will turn out. However, the previews didn't mislead me to think it was more than it showed. I have to say the trailers did not do the movie justice!!!
Favreau is the MAN!!! I wish they will let him do every Marvel heroe movie that may relate to this one. His vision is one of the most accurate compared to a comic I have seen to date.
And for the record, I've seen it three times within 15 hours!!!! Wouldn't mind seeing it again still!!!

This was an excellent movie with which to start the summer movie season. Hollywood is starting to realize that you CAN have Oscar-caliber actors in a summer blockbuster without damaging their street cred. Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard, and Jeff Bridges have wonderful chemistry as a group and really make the excellent script come alive. Add in up-and-coming director Jon Favreau, who has done excellent work in the past...but let's face it, if you score with a summer blockbuster your stock goes up even more. The choice to update the adventures of Tony Stark from Vietnam to Afghanistan was a great move and made the already timeless storyline completely relevant to an entirely new generation of moviegoers!

I saw Iron Man with my husband last night and I didn't think it was going to be as great as he had hyped it up to be. He had seen it the night before and was blown away. I have to say the movie was truly great Robert Downey Jr. was made for this role he is Iron Man. This has got to be maybe the best movie from comic book ever. The chemistry between Downey and Paltrow was intense. I can't wait for the next one.

This is actually 4.5 stars. I would love to give it 5 but it needed a tad less intro and a bit more butt kicking. Everything else was tip-top. Robert Downey Jr. was as randy as ever with quick and humerous remarks throughout. Jeff Daniels, a surprisingly "good" bad guy. Terrance Howard and Gwenyth Paltrow roundout an amazing cast. (not forgetting Mr. Stan Lee in his ever-ineresting cameos) This flick took present day war issues and added the old school Marvel touch with the aid of today's amazing CGI and blew the crowd away!!! (almost literally) P.S. Stay after the credits!!!!
