Went with expecting a horrible redo of one of my favorite classics...and left with a new favorite in my heart. I was completely floored with how good the movie was and would dare to state it may be better than the original...
I highly recommend seeing the movie to everyone I see and intend to see it again in theaters!!!

This relaunch kept to the original enough to please any old fans and still added some new qualities to make the newer viewer get easily hooked. All the cast was chosen well and they lived up to their original counterparts...but I must give extra credit to Karl Urban for the exceptional characterization of Dr. McCoy. He was the only actor in the movie who nailed the original character's persona on the head. They took some liberties on the continuity of the story but explained the differences so well throughout the plot, any old Trekkies won't mind it at all. Hands down the best Trek movie made to date and I hope to see more of this Star Trek movie magic quality either on the silver screen or my home screen weekly.

Hands down the best comic-to-film made so far. I was SOOO thrilled with this movie I will be seeing it again at least 3 more times in theaters.
Any fears you may have based on the first movie (which I thought wasn't too bad) will be completely blown away from this modern masterpiece. And if you're a long time fan like me, you will be delighted by all of the subtle homages to the Emerald One's past.
Better than Iron Man...and I loved Iron Man!!!

I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about how this movie will turn out. However, the previews didn't mislead me to think it was more than it showed. I have to say the trailers did not do the movie justice!!!
Favreau is the MAN!!! I wish they will let him do every Marvel heroe movie that may relate to this one. His vision is one of the most accurate compared to a comic I have seen to date.
And for the record, I've seen it three times within 15 hours!!!! Wouldn't mind seeing it again still!!!
