I was excited to see this movie to kick off the summer movies. but to be honest my expectations weren't high. Boy was I surprised. I didn't know anything about Iron Man to begin with, but I was totally entertained throughout. It was unexpectedly funny and full of great special effects. This is one that I will definetley be buying when it is released.

This Movie was even better than I was expecting! As I didn't read the comic book as a kid and knew nothing about what the direction was going to be, I think I enjoyed the "twists" even better. Highly recommend and feel great about kids going to see it as well.
Best part for me was showing that a genius mind is a "super power" as well.

This movie was tops! I did not know the story behind this super hero and the movie presented it well (according to my comic addict son). Robert Downey, Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jeff Bridges are superb. Scenes are not overdone and very believable. Can't wait for the sequel. HINT: remain seated until the end of the credits - you won't want to miss the preview for the next movie!

Robert Downey Jr. and the rest of the stellar cast makes this one of the best super hero movies ever made. The transformation of Stark from playboy to hero is very believable. And of course the special effects are top notch. I will be eagerly awaiting the sequel in 2010.

I was really surprised. This movie was not what I expected. The subject matter was great the Teckefx's were really believable. The plot meshed with today's political issues and made a possible conspiracy theory almost real. The lite/comedic touch kept it from being to heavy. moving pace.
The casting was perfect. I could not see any other actors in this movie. Don't want to see a sequel but this was great and very entertaining.

Really great movie. Well done, entertaining, good pacing, GREAT characters. Tony Stark is really great in the movie. Good grounded story with great background on the characters and everything was made so grounded that made it very believable. And the effects work was very very well done. Hats off to ILM and all that worked on it.

One of the best super hero movies ever. Robert Downey Jr does not disappoint as the perfect Tony Stark. His persona in this role is as impactful to the movie as Johnny Dep in Pirates. I will see it again. You should see it at least once.
BTW...there is a scene after the credits that will have fan boys buzzing for weeks!!!

This movie is, by far, my new favorite Comic Book-based movie. There's plenty of action, good character development, and a decent plot line compared to some of the other action/comic movies out there.
My only complaint is that there were several parts that could have easily been longer. They would have added to character development and others adding to the action scenes. However, the movie tops out at a bit over 2 hours, so I really can't complain.
It's a great action movie, has some comedic charm, and good acting to back all of it up.
P.S. Stay through the credits!

This was a great performance by all the actors in this movie! The movie flowed quite well throughout, there was never a dull moment. Gwyneth Paltrow and Robert Downey Jr. were super! together! Kudos to the special effect guys for bringing the suit to life and all the robotic supporting cast - I thought they were a wonderful touch to the lab scenes!
This movie brought back great memories from childhood! I read and reread the Iron Man series and this movie brought out what I remembered and visualized when reading those comics! Great Job! Guys!
This movie is great! I hope there is a sequel with the same cast!

This has to be one of the best comic-to movie ever made by far. Sure the waiting in line just to get into the theater was a bit much, but its to be expect on its opening night, all i have to say that 1 and a half hrs in line was well worth it. It had everything excitment, action, the perfect enemy, and a romantic undertone. Robert Downey Jr. gave an award winning performance in this sure to be snubbed film. Sure Gwyneth Patrow and Terrence Howard characters could have been acted by monkeys with the complexity of their characters. But that can be mislooked. It is a great shame that this film isn't going to stur up any Oscar buzz. As Films of the comic genre often don't. Still this is a great action backed movie that is worth seeing over and over again. I smell a sequel. They'd be crazy not to make a sequel.

Very entertaining and surprisingly well done. Downey is ideal for the role and Bridges is solid as his nemesis/traitor as well (I'm not big on the comics like my bro and some friends and know this shouldn't be a spoiler). Good cast and awesome effects, but Robert Downey Jr is what takes the film to the next level.
