Like "Vacancy" but better and with Liv Tyler

This film has to be one of my top picks for the summer. It's chill factor is beyond compare in this summer of action packed films. Yes it is in some ways like the film "Vacancy" in that it is about a husband and wife in an unfamiliar setting fighting for survival. Be that as it may it will still keep you glued to the edge of your seats; or if your like me glued to the person sitting next to you. All be it there are times that the film becomes predictable and quite slow paced. However it is still a good movie to see. The acting was good, although if you think about it its not that hard to act when your wearing a mask and simply walking around. This movie was all about Liv Tyler, she is in almost every scene of the film and she earns a "good job". The only downfall of this film is its ending it leaves you without closure. On the other hand it also leaves room for a sequel, which if done as good as this one would be worth seeing as well.

I got carried away

This movie has to be one of the best movies of the year, next to Iron Man. It has such a sweetness to it that it is hard not to be drawn in by the vulnerablilty of each woman in the film. It was just as great as the show, even better. Yes it was a bit tame as compared to the HBO show, yet it was great on its own. I was glad while watching the movie that they did not tie the present story with the past stories, as i was not a religious SATC fan. I think this movie has a great message and story, to never stop searching for love. This is a definite not miss movie in my book. Although the seating was a bit cut throat. Just picture hundreds of women fighting for the best seat, that was this movie.

The Wedding Planner meets My Best Friends Wedding.

This was a cute movie. I must however say the marketing on this film was over the top, with how good the movie really was. It was a well written, ok acted movie. Slow at times, and fairly predictable but all together well done movie. I like to refer to this film as a mix between the "The Wedding Planner" meets "My Best Friends Wedding." It had a similar story line, with an exagerated twist. I also found Catherine Heigl came off a bit dry in this film, and James Marsden came off actually as a man more interested in men then Katherine Heigl. That could just have been me. Also as much as I love this actress she failed completely in this film, her portrail of Heigls drunk and rude friend fell extremely flat and annoying. Judy Greer I love you but stick to the quirky characters PLEASE!!! Over all i enjoyed this film, yet would not see it more then twice. It is a nice addition to the Wedding inspired movie genre. But could have been better.

Watch it over and over

This has to be one of the best comic-to movie ever made by far. Sure the waiting in line just to get into the theater was a bit much, but its to be expect on its opening night, all i have to say that 1 and a half hrs in line was well worth it. It had everything excitment, action, the perfect enemy, and a romantic undertone. Robert Downey Jr. gave an award winning performance in this sure to be snubbed film. Sure Gwyneth Patrow and Terrence Howard characters could have been acted by monkeys with the complexity of their characters. But that can be mislooked. It is a great shame that this film isn't going to stur up any Oscar buzz. As Films of the comic genre often don't. Still this is a great action backed movie that is worth seeing over and over again. I smell a sequel. They'd be crazy not to make a sequel.

Fey and Poehler winning combo!

This movie was one of my "must see's" for this year and it did not dissapoint. The chemistry between Fey and Poehler is electric. This movie is my top pick for best comedy of this year. It was a great story with a predictable ending, but still cute. It was hilarious I am still laughing 2 days later. Its hard to describe why this film was so funny, all i can say is it was. I have no words to express how funny this film was. All i can say is its a must see. SO GO SEE IT!

Cinderella with a twist

I being 19 did not want to see this film, i fought and clawed to see it because it seemed to young for my mature pallet. Yet while watching it i couldn't help but smile. Its smartly written and well casted, with the exception of the Dempseys's daughter which could have been better casted. Other then that the acting was good, slitghtly over the top but its a childrens movie. Its the perfect movie to take the kids to, it will keep them engaged and entertained. The other minor annoyance is the pace of the movie, at times it seems to drag on super slowly, but the children wont even notice. Overall i would see this movie again just to put a smile on my face, and i would absolutly recommend it. However by now you'd have to rent it or buy it, so go get it.

They just keep getting worse!

Ok so i've been a loyal fan of the "Scary Movie" franchise, but it just seems that the further they go at making these spoofs the worst they are. I was expecting to see the characters on the poster play a large role, or at least meaningful role in the film, however only 2 of the 7 people on the poster are in the movie for longer then 10 minutes. I know thats a marketing flaw, but the movie itself was bad too. It lacked the most important thing that a comedy needs, COMEDY! It was not funny, since the acting was bad. It was not funny since the story made little to no sense. Lastly it wasn't funny because it looked like a really cheap poorly made movie. Frankly i think i spend more money on seeing this movie then they did on making it, thats the bottom line.

"The Grudge"

This movie only reminded me of the movie "The Grudge", had Sarah Michelle Gellers character been married. I felt like i was watching the same movie, only slitly different. Don't get me wrong it is a good movie, and quite scary its just not a movie to watch if you've seen "The Grudge", the ending seems to lack that over the edge ending that I as an audience member wanted. Also the character development falls extremely flat. The acting was pretty bad, no oscar worthy mentions in this movie. Yet still a average movie that will put alittle scare into your day.

Cute, but not realistic

I liked this movie, it had a great story. Not really sold on the villan's. It seemed like the director was trying his hardest to keep it PG, not as much action as i would have liked. It was a good try. I also found it strange how Kate Hudson's character fell for a man because of his, well you'll have to see for yourself.

What happened to the movie business?

This movie is really bad. The best part of the movie, besides the ending was when Sigourney Weaver comes out in it thats it. The movie was too slow, and rediculous all around. I would never rent any movie made by those two idiots. Its movies like this that make me wonder what happened to the movie business. All i can say is this movie was not what it was suppose to be, that is funny. It is the most useless movie of the year.
