If you are a super hero fan and enjoy the use of cool inventions (think Iron Man and James Bond) you will find this movie entertaining. There is plenty of action and lots of laughs. The plot gets muddy part way through. You may also find the conflict between the Green Hornet and Kato to be unbelievable. But hey, this is fantasy. It's a fun show.
Harry Ron and Hermione are no longer at Hogwarts, but out in the cruel dark world. This movie has more intense violence and drama than earlier Harry Potter films, so not a good choice for young children. The cinematography are music are exceptional.
Although visually the movie is exciting, and the acting is believable, the writing is not tight enough. The ending is unsatisfying. This will not be a classic.
The Book of Eli is an action movie that makes you think. This quote stayed with me: "People used to have more than they needed. They threw away things we would kill each other for now." Denzel Washington is believable and strong as Eli. The supporting cast is not as strong. The reasons for shaking hands and dark glasses could have been explained better. The movie is more thought than plot.
This is not a horror film, it is not a documentary, it is not a believable story, it is not an entertaining story. It is not at all like close encounters of the third kind. I recommend just skip it and find something else to spend your $ on.
For those who like to eat or like to cook, for those who dream of being a writer, for those who like a true story that has all the pace and character development of fiction, and for those who are fans of Meryl Streep or Amy Adams, this show is a sure thing. Loved it.
Sandra Bullock is more beautiful than ever, and the movie is very funny. Reminds me of "Meet the Parents". Brief nudity, so recommended for couples not kids.
This movie was a fun escape. Since I have been to Rome I enjoyed the setting. It is fun to see places in the movies that I have visited. Making a book into a movie always requires leaving out some detail. If you know that in advance and just enjoy the movie for what it is, you will enjoy Angels and Demons.
This is an exciting action movie, appropriate for older kids or adults. Robert Downey Jr. and Gweneth Paltrow are outstanding in their roles, and have great chemistry. I am always looking for a movie I can recommend to for families. I know I will add this to my DVD collection when it is available.
