Robert Downey Jr was a perfect choice for this movie. Same with Gweneth Paltrow. It had great graphics good comedic timing and suspecefull action. I hope they make a sequile.

I took my 2 grandsons (ages 13 and 8) to see the movie. I didn't think I would enjoy it very much. I loved it! It kept me on the edge of my seat. I can't wait for the sequel and the DVD.

This movie appeals to a wide range of viewers. My wife and son both liked it and pleasing them both is not usually easy. There are amazing special effects faithful to the comic book. Bridges plays a great villain, and there is cute humor throughout. Paltrow's character is better than the comic book and appealled to my wife...and to me. Missing was some of the Ironman sarcasm, and they spent a little too much time "inside the helmet". When is Ironman Part II ???

This was the first time we had seen a digital-projection movie, and I must say Iron Man was a good choice for a first one. Both the acting and script were much better than I was expecting, and the CG-reality transistions were some of the best I've seen. The detail in the 'iron' suit was mind-boggling. Our only regret was that we accidently sat too close to an unexpectedly gi-normous screen, and I think the experience would have been better farther back. Even so, after awhile the movie was good enough to be able to make us forget about how close we were sitting to the screen.

It's got a relaxed pace in the beginning. I wouldn't call it slow because there's a lot of strong character development and you really bond with Stark. But when the action starts, strap on the depends, it's more than mind blowing. The end of the movie made me wish the sequel was playing immediately following. This movie had a lot of what Transformers, for me, lacked: Heart.

I took my husband and my daughter of four to see this, and we all loved it! I love every character. The entire movie was VERY visually pleasing, the story moved along smoothly, and the effects were, of course, awesome!

While sitting in the theater (before the movie) I asked my boyfriend to name the last movie we saw. He had a lot of trouble remembering that it was "forgetting Sarah Marshall". There is NO way we will forget IRON MAN! This movie rocked! From the snide and cynical comments and jokes by Robert Downey Jr to the understated special effects - GREAT MOVIE!

Definately one of the bestSuper Hero action movies I've seen. Lots to impress the kids, plenty to keep the adults happy, special effects are AWESOME! Well acted, good story line, I'd have a hard time thinking of any negatives in this movie. Highly recommended, stay though the credits for a glimpse of what's ahead.

Caught the midnight showing of this fun movie. It was a chance for Downey to shine and shine he did!!! Downey and the other supporting actors did a good job of NOT overacting and turning this movie into a cartoon. The FX were great and the flying scenes made me wish it was me zooming around.

Marvel comic stories get better and better as they transition onto the big screen. Animation and special effects, spot on. Story line detailed but kept to the point. Cast couldn't have been better and I think there may be room for a sequel. Great entertainment for all.

I just saw Iron Man last night - got there a bit late and had to sit in the 2nd row. Packed house!
However, it was still good that close!
The movie was well-paced; not too fast, not too slow. I enjoyed every minute - I even thought the acting was good!
The only reason I didn't give the review 5 stars was because of the ending. I didn't think it was that great a closer. However, in all it was really good!

Good movie, great for the kids. No foul language or strong adult content. One complaint - the theater could have kept the film in a larger seating for more than the opening weekend, we got there 30 minutes early and got the last few seats, had to sit on the second row. bad move

As usual, Robert Downey, Jr. was fabulous as Tony Stark...! A super genius with flaws we can identify with.. The graphics weren't super fake looking.. they did a great job blending the human characters in with the robotic suits! And the ending left me wanting more...!!

.....not since 300 came out have i heard so much about a movie, there's very few movies that i go to the theatre to watch anymore.

I wanted to see this movie based on action, actors, story. I did not really know anything about the Ironman comics except it was a comic. I thought the movie was great. more upscale, adult than Spiderman and a better story line. And the tease at the end of credits was great. This can be enjoyed by everyone. The interaction of the characters worked great.

Robert Downey Jr. is IRON MAN !!!! I had never read the comic and did not know anything about Iron Man... This was the best movie I have seen this year... my new best favorite. The introduction of technology is so very believable and makes you wonder if mankind does not already have the full capabilities to make this a reality... This is a must see and you will want more of Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr and sweet Pepper Potts, Gwenth Paltrow. Worth my hard earned money and time very well spent. Congrats to those who brought this movie to the screen and selected the actors who more than deserve the new found identities of cinema!!!

I am sometimes doubtful of CGI+live movies, this one was awesome.
Sometimes the CGI overtakes the whole movie where the live sequences are only an excuse.
In this case, both had extreme relevance and complemented each other. I think that either would have stood well on its own.
The acting by the three main actors was excellent; the chemistry was intense and the whole movie could have been without CGI.
On the other hand. the CGI was so well done, so cool, so credible, that it could have stood on its own as well. But the meshed together very nicely.
I am hoping for a sequel, soon, with the same cast (except for Bridges, I guess, since he was killed - or we think. Although I am sure he has an evil son).

I immediatley assumed this movie was going to be on my top worst comic book movies along with Hello Boy & the Hulk, but it was actually good. There weren't any slow parts of the movie, even with introduction to characters.
I woud of liked a little more action/fighting but I anticipate there will be on the sequel. And I can't believe Jon Favreau directed this movie!

I'm glad Downey fought for this role, he was absolutely perfect for it. I seriously can't see anyone else performing the role of Tony Stark with the wit, humor, and intelligence he gave to this role. Lots of fun, great special effects, seamless CGI, plenty of action ... and I've already gone to see it twice. You're gonna love it!

Overall, I enjoyed Iron Man. If you like to sit back, disconnect your brain, and take in the sights, sounds and action, this movie is for you. Personally, as an engineer and active duty military, I would have preferred less of the subtle "military contractors are evil" theme and the technical/engineering aspects of the movie require a firm suspension of reality. Most movie goers will probably not be bothered by these aspects of the move I imagine. Looking forward to the sequel!

Naturally I expected the effects to be AMAZING, and the action to be RIVETING... What pleasantly surprised me was the quick-witted dialogue and the SUPERIOR acting.. Of course the story was interesting too, and I am not usually one for the superhero movies. I was absolutely IMPRESSED.
