I went with friends to see Immortals with little expectation that I would be blown away but I have to admit the 3D and the visuals were pretty darn good. The movie is pretty forgettable with the exception of the fight sequences involving the Gods and Titans - that sequences were pretty damn good. There are some pretty disturbing parts of the movie (sledge hammer sterilization and the easy bull oven) that will stick with me for a while. Overall an entertaining outing!
This was a pretty good movie for a saturday afternoon! The slow unravelling of the night's details to these guys the next day are hilarious but at time uncomfortable enough to make you laugh out loud! The naked asian dude in the trunk was priceless and VERY uncomfortable at the same time!! lol
I suck at names so indulge me here but the guy that looked like a young John Goodman stole this movie!! It was also good to see the guy from THe Office breakout and get his own movie turn too which is pretty cool to see him break that mold he lives in on that show.
While sitting in the theater (before the movie) I asked my boyfriend to name the last movie we saw. He had a lot of trouble remembering that it was "forgetting Sarah Marshall". There is NO way we will forget IRON MAN! This movie rocked! From the snide and cynical comments and jokes by Robert Downey Jr to the understated special effects - GREAT MOVIE!
The movie was pretty good. There were some really funny moments and some that tried too hard to get a laugh. I honestly have to say that it won’t be one of the forgettable movies I have seen so far this year. Lots of good laughs and some unexpected moments made this movie worth a matinee on Sunday morning. One thing that stands out the most is the graphic nudity of Jason Segel at the beginning of the movie. It didn’t bother me at all but after the movie talking to my friends; it seemed many of them had trouble seeing him naked. It has been a long time since a movie showed so much male nudity and it was a surprise for some and uncomfortable for others. I think it may have to do with the dumbing down of movies lately - post Janet Jackson Super Bowl mishap!
