Overall a good Sci-Fi action adventure movie with Vin Diesel as a gravel voiced mercenary soldier for hire (not a big stretch for him). Lots of high powered action with the Russians as the heavys (just like old times). Some of the stunts were way over the top, like fighting fighter UAVs with a snowmobile and a hand gun or trying to outrun a handheld missle on foot. The UAVs and the Cyborg technology are actually things that are in development today, so tech geeks get a thrill seeing into a possible future. The product ad placement was overwelming, especially in the New York sequences. I guess they needed the money to pay for all the special effects. In conclusion, the action was entertaining, plot was so-so and the acting was a little flat.

This movie leave you with more questions than fullfilled. The action was intence but hard to watch due to the camera shaking so much it almost got you sick. plot needed to be developed than slapped together. It had the right idea but was lacking in all areas.Today , People will sit in a movie theater up to 2-3 hours if the movie was done right. Opening never gave you a scence of what happend in that time piece, Movie was to short to develope its characters enough to build any excitement or connection for ones love hate relationship. (Example - love Vader or Hate Vader) If it wasn't for Vin i would have never gone to see it. The ending was cold. and seemed like they ran out of money to create a real ending. This is definately a Rental.

Of course Vin Diesel was hotter than ever, but the movie was ok. The cameras bounced around alot during the fight scenes and a little hard to follow. Other then that, can't say it was the best movie I have ever seen, but definitely not the worst either.

This movie was disjointed, the plot was non existent and the acting was bad. Vin Diesel is the man and Michelle Yeoh is awesome but they both were either held back by the lame director or they both were suffering from concussions. There was not one thing that saved this movie. This will end up in the bargain bin at the video store and will probably not be worth the plastic it took to make the DVD.

I have the utmost respect for Vin Diesel and Michelle Yeow but for the love of god!!! The plot was so poor that i wonder why these guys took on the script. The action was ok but the story went nowhere and the ending was cheesy. I just hope Vin's and Michelle's next movie is not as hopeless.

Really, this movie was just a really long trailer. I have never seen a movie that needed a prequel AND a sequel. It was like jumping into the of a middle a movie, you don't know who's good, who's bad, or even the point. Yes, it had lots of action, but even the fight scenes were confusing. They never stayed on one character, and they very fast, yet short. It wouldn't even be a good cheap rental, it really is a waste of time to see.

Vin is awesome. Loved him in his Riddick films and even in FaF1. When I saw the previews and the movie poster I was excited. Pros: 1) This movie started out like his Riddick films. I liked that alot. It grabbed my attention. 2) SOME of the action was cool. 3) The plot was a good idea. Cons: 1) Poorly scripted and produced. 2) Vin, as an actor, needs work on falling in love. His attempt at showing his feelings towards one of the characters was pathetic and so poorly acted. I almost got up and left. 3) The ending was just STUPID. Everyone in the theater had literally the same reaction... "WWWhhhhhaaat!??!?!?" ...worst ending ever and made no sense. Don't waste your money. Sorry Vin.

I love sci-fi movies with a lot of action. This movie provides this in the usual Van Diesel way. But I have to say when the movie ended, I expected more. I never got a chance to read any reviews prior to watching this movie. I have to say that it was entertaining. My sons enjoyed the movie. My wife out of all people enjoyed the movie as well. Everyone who gave it a bad reviews were expecting a great plot, great acting etc. Please, just go, watch the movie and enjoy. I don't think you will be dissapointed.

I was intrigued by the scene with the mini missile being stopped by the girl in the movie. I love special affects so I had to see it. This movie left me with a lot of questions but not too many answers but I wasn't too upset by that, the action more than made up for it. I would have liked to have more clarity on the so called 'powers" of one of the characters but for a 1 and a half hour movie it packed a punch. Fun to watch, I enjoyed it and the futuristic theme.

I like Vin, but not even HE could save this movie. Good actors cannot save a bad script and poor directing. I thought the movie was great. Was it one of Vin Diesel's best, No. But overall it was a great movie. There were times when the plot was a bit confusing, but for an action movie it didn't fail to please. The ending left a little to be desired, it seemed to just jump to it. No real lead in no real explination. All in all a great movie.

This movie was very promising most of the way through. The movie's depiction of what life may be like in the future if some kind of a big war happens is unbelievable. The story line isn't incredible but everything else makes up for it. This continues until the very end when, all of a sudden, random things happen in the story line that don't make much sense. The movie should have been two hours long (or longer) with a complete story. It seems like it was cut short.

Vinn Diesel did a great job as a body guard. Gerard Depadieu, who usually plays "good guys" did a great job playing the part of a "bad guy" Effects were great. This was the worsdt movie of the year! The story jumped all over the place, and NEVER made sense. I would recommend that when it comes to DVD you don't see it there either.

This movie was pretty bad. Story line doesn't really add up or make sense, the acting is "okay" but the script is so choppy...... none of the characters are fully developed or allowed the time on screen for you to feel any connection to them or understanding why they are the way they are. I don't really know what else to say except wait for it to go to video.

For those familiar with the genre, this movie has just enough undercurrent to be similar to cyberpunk. It goes along decently, but all of the action shots are taken from the Stephen Seagal USA Movie cinematography and are shot from the chest up with the camera 8" away from the action. Having said that, the move is fairly decent up until the last ~2minutes of the movie. I won't spoil it, but it ranks up in my list as one of the worst movies ever. It was a 4 star movie until the last two minutes when just fell flat.

It's good to see the VIN Man Back in action! Great job on the character he played in the movie, lot of great action, was glad to see a movie that kept you on the edge of your seat!

Sci-Fi Action Thriller - Vin Diesel's forte! Lots of CGI & good fight scenes - Michelle Yeoh's Kung Fu and Vin Diesel's Street Smarts with a little Ju-Jitsu make them a dynamic team! My son asked about the reference to the title - started a good conversation about history and religion! He really liked it and will recommend it to all of his friends!
