I think that this movie was AWESOME!! Zac Efron played his part very well which I was not totally prepared for because of his role in HSM. He played the role with a excellent amount of emotion. My overall opinion on this movie is that it was very touching... I cried about 5 times which is unusual for me because i dont usually cry during movies. I give Charlie St. Cloud and A+!!

OK, kind of a chick flick but I am a chick and Zac Efron looks hot!!! Nice story, unusally because there was no diva or beauty for the main female role but it worked. Really pulled at my heart strings, cute little twist there - but it kept my attention and I liked it.

I enjoy Zac Efron. With that said, this movie was a joke. The parts I was supposed to be crying at...I was, but they were tears of laughter. The kid chosen to play Efron's character's brother is not good. The plot is unoriginal, contrived, and silly. Kim Basinger is in the movie for 5 minutes and then I guess she needed to head back to 8 Mile to be with her other kids. I will say that the setting is beautiful, and the two leads are tolerable; it's the script and supporting cast that ruined it for me.

This was a wonderful movie, I went with both of my daughters. I thought all the actors did a great job. The scenery was beautiful and the storyline was easy to follow. I loved the twist. Great story about living in the now, forgiveness and following your heart. Will definitely see again and buy on DVD.

Within all movies there are always some that deliver what you expected, and that is exactly what Charlie St. Cloud is. It is honestly a beautiful movie with landscapes that are breathtaking, but the storyline in itself was not as breathtaking. the twists and turns of the movie were acceptable and follow through with what i expected it to be, but seemed rushed and missed vital emotional factors that needed to be placed within the script to create an atmosphere where the movie can easily sink into the mind, rather than feeling like being in a race car moving 200 miles an hour. Overall the movie was wonderful and the acting needed work, but i would recommend to wait until DVD for this one.

I'm not sure what I was expecting but I guess I really wanted to be moved. I wanted to need a tissue. And I didn't. It was a good movie. Clearly, Efron is trying put his "High School" days behind him, and he takes a notable step in "St. Cloud." This is an actor trapped in that awkward phase between 'tween idol and serious actor. To move to the next level, he's going to have to be a little less buff and clean cut and become a character who is more gritty and complex. This movie was not designed for that transformation - not a reflection on Efron who can simple play the part his is given. The movie is a simple, soft romance with one distinct message: life is for living. If you are an Efron fan, you should enjoy it. If not, it may disappoint for lack of complexity.

Went to see this movie with my 11 year old daughter and both of us enjoyed it. Zac Efron was incredible in this movie- his acting is maturing. What a wonderful movie! The relationship between Sam and Charlie was so realistic. You could feel how much they loved each other and didn't want to leave the other behind until they knew they'd be ok.
I took my 13 yr old daughter and 9 yr old son and they both raved about the movie afterwards.
Definitely recommend it! Bring some tissue though.

I saw this movie on Friday, 7/30/10, and I really enjoyed it. Zac Efron was really good in it. He's come along way from the High School Musical movies. The relationship between Charlie and Sam was very touching. I could believe Charlie giving everything up for Sam. We all grieve differently.

I love Zac Efron and I will say this is one of his best movies yet! He was absolutely great playing his role. Although it has it's sad parts, it's also a terrific movie about life, living and love. A must see!

I saw this movie with my 2 daughters yesterday. It was different than I thought it would be. I think it pushed the envelope a little too far, with Zac Efron seeing people, but overall a good movie. I would recommend it.
