This movie is fantastic. Great animation. Wonderful storyline. The pace was perfect. I took 5 kids and everyone was into the movie from start to finish. Now, we want to train a dragon of our own! This was such a good movie, the Animation was brilliant, it is funny ,fast paced and kept both my 5yr old son and myself entertained all the way through .After the movie I wanted a Dragon like "Toothless"never mind my son. This was the first time we had taken our three year old into a movie theater for a movie. He enjoyed it so much that at the end he kept saying "more." Too bad we don't have the DVD at home. He has been asking for "Drag-ee" every day since we watched this movie.

This movie was the first one where though it was different than the book (aside from the names), it didn't ruin the book or bored me out. every minute was worth watching. Imax 3D made it all the better. I don't watch movie often, but this one made a strong impression in me. It was a first time in a long time since I've feel like watching a movie again after it has ended. A new kind of story... a new kind of ending... If you're looking for a story with dragons, packed with humor and a strong message, this is the one.

I was just as excited about this movie as my 8 yr. old son was! Tons of action and lots of touching scenes. I've been saying to everyone that this is the best animated film out since I can't remember when! Highly recommended for people of ALL AGES! To call this a "kid flick" would be your first big mistake. Don't make it. And don't be hesitant or embarassed to go without a kid because this is a Grade AAA adventure flick as warm, winning, and (sure to be as) enduring as Raiders or ET. And the 3D made Avatar look Amateur!

This is one of the best animated movies to come along in long time, let alone the best 3D movie I've seen. The 3D experience was very good, maybe not the best effect but the story more than makes up for the better than average 3D overall experience. There were scenes in the movie that the 3D sound and visuals were state of the art. This story starts out a little slow but picks up pace quickly. The characters were all interesting, and actors voices fit the characters very well. One caveat, some smaller children might find the action sequences a bit frightening but my 6 y/o took all in stride.

My 4 and 7 year olds loved this movie... and I did too! Well directed, well animated, and compelling plot.
Still trying to figure out why the Vikings had Scottish accents rather than Norwegian, but that didn't detract from the enjoyment!

Solid animation and excellent action sequences. Storyline was good and the voice-overs were perfect. Safe movie for kids and enough humor for the adults to get a good laugh. The movie was a great movie for kids but the 3D aspect could have been better. When I went to see the Polar Express it was more life like because of the snow, etc. This movie was a basic one with not much excitement coming through to the audience.

This was a fun movie and my kids, my husband and I really enjoyed it. Although there was some violence (I have 3 boys so they loved the head-bonking type fighting) I thought there was a good lesson in the fact that the "solution" to the dragon problem was to make peace with them. Some small children might find some of the scenes frightening, but overall I thought it was less scary than Sleeping Beauty. I would definitely recommend this for all families.

This was a wonderful movie and the kids really enjoyed it. I was amazed that my 3 yr old Granddaughter sat through the whole movie. What a joy. I now want to return and see it in 3D.

I took my 5 year old son to watch this movie. He loved it. The last scenes were a little scary but it didn't seem to affect him and he's pretty sensitive to that.
Also, I loved it. It was well made and the story line was engaging and inspirational. I recommend it.

My husband and I took our 4 year old son to see the movie. He was on the edge of his seat through the whole movie. We went to his Grandma's house after the movie, and he asked his Grandma to go see the movie again. The previews had my son asking us to go see the movie for about 2 weeks prior, and I don't think I could have held him off any longer. It was an awesome movie, and for once I didn't mind paying an arm and a leg for my son's enjoyment!

Brought my 4 year old great grandson, and he loved it. To quote David, a little bit scary, a long story, and a lot of fund with the ginormous dragons. Not boring!!!
