I saw Secreatariat yesterday and it is the best movie I have seen in a long time (probably since Blind Side). It is one of those movies that after you see it, you just have a "feel good" attitude. I would definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Excellent movie. The cinematography was very well done taking you from above the horse's head to behind his hoofs. It gave a feeling of excitement. Watching the audience was really fun as everyone was clapping caught up in the moment even though we all knew the outcome. Got a lot of facts I didn't know as it was before my time. Very enjoybale, feel good movie.

Kudos to Disney for continuing to make movies the whole family can enjoy. I grew up reading about Secretariat and I remember watching the races on television with my family. The movie brought all of that excitement back and mixed it in with the story of the family behind Secretariat.
The pure joy the horses feel when racing is conveyed very well. I loved the walks down the tunnel, the sound of the horse's hooves, and the scenes showing the horse going into the racing stall. The jockey holding a bit of the horse's mane. The courage it takes to be a jockey riding a thousand plus pounds of a thoroughbred animal.
The "feel" of the time in which the story is told was great. I loved seeing all the cars and the homes, the clothes. Well done. I loved Diane Lane's performance, and John Malkovich made me smile again and again. I loved Nelson Ellis' portrayal of Eddie and his love for his charge.
All in all, the scenery, the thundering hooves, the thrill of racing...everything comes together beautifully in this movie. I will be buying the DVD when it comes out so I can watch it again and again. The movie is as special as "Seabiscuit". And the horse just as spectacular!

I will own this movie when it comes out so I can watch it over and over. It is so well done that even though we know Secretariat won all three big races, the audience is cheering and hooting and clapping to encourage the winner. Even though I knew the outcome of the races, I was excited and nervous about the results of each race. I believe this was due to the story being well written. I like where the Preakness was shown on television at the Tweedy family home in Colorado. We were able to see the family's excitement about the race and the horse. Some of the videography during the races was a little off. Maybe it was grainy.

A wonderful movie. Great footage of the horses running, the pounding of their hoofs on the ground. I enjoyed interelationship between the horse and the owner. It was very nice the way the put the actual owner in the movie. No profanity, so nice and refreshing.

I think it was a nice depiction of Secretariats career. John Malkovich was outstanding and should get an Oscar nod.
I found myself pounding on my leg (as if I was at the track) and screeming even though I knew the race outcomes. I am not sure others really minded my noise.

This movie recieved alot of hype and for once, the hype was correct! I went to see this movie on opening night and saw it in an ETX theater and it was WOW from beginning to end. It was a great American story that was delivered in a manner that would be suitable for viewers of all ages. I knew the story of Secretariat, but I found myself in suspense throughout. It was sort of a "behind the scene" look at the legend of this great horse. I thought the choices of actors was "right on", especially John Malkovich. His role was quite different from some of the roles he usually plays and he hit a home run with this one. Kudos to Disney and all those involved in bringing this film to the screen!

Secretariat was great! The cast portrayed beautifully the courage and commitment it took for one woman, and her crew to create a brilliant family legacy of breeding and racing horses. You can't help but fall in love with Big Red (Secretariat), for all of his personality - especially in the last ten minutes of the movie. Great for family, great for date night, and great with friends.

For the rest of you - this movie lifts the spirit. I didn't know about this story and I'm glad 'cause it made it even more interesting.
