I have seen this movie now three times! I love it everytime and cant seem to get bored with all the action, morals, love, and truth to this movie.
I have seen it twice in 3d and once in regular mode. I dont care either way to see it. It's just so good.
I just respected how carefully put together everything was. How every little detail all came together. How their motions, attitudes, and characters all fit. Its a truly amazing story. I recommend this to all!

I am so glad I saw this movie in 3D, the scenes of the forest are so lovely and you feel as if you are right there. I loved the bugs and sparks flying around. The plot is simplistic, the casting is excellent.
The only thing I didn't enjoy was the "I'll bet I can make you puke" method of camera work. When I am in a group of people, for example, I DO NOT swoop around, bend down, sway, etc. I had to close my eyes to keep from getting sick many times.

Mesmerizing computer-generated sets, characters and creatures. Floating mountains! Stunning idea but one of many in Avatar. Ancient plot line within such a creative, imaginative, fabulous futuristic context and spirituality kept me glued to every second of Avatar. Yes, it's way longer than typical movies, but so what? I was too lost in the story to notice the difference. The only disappointment, and I didn't care, was the song at the end. Forgettable. But not Avatar, not ever.

First saw movie in regular theater and loved it. Could not wait to see it in 3D! BUT, I was greatly disappointed. I loved the movie the second time but the 3D added little of nothing to the original. I expected to be in awe but ended up saying 'why did I drive all the way for this!' Again - loved the movie but 3D experience SHOULD have made it great but it did not. With such great cinematography, why was 3D so disappointing???

Avatar was a good visual effects movie. The 3D was not as good as others I've seen. The storyline was similar to Dances With Wolves but DWW had much better cinematography! I will buy this on DVD as it was interesting but not sensational.

We hadn't seen a movie in a theater for 7 years, so this thing totally blew our socks off. Cameron was very clever in putting Jake in a wheelchair and choosing a relatively unknown actor. That way the computer generated movements seemed to belong to him. The animation would have been much more difficult for an actor with very distinctive movements.

I cant believe it didnt win the oscar for best picture. What a wonderful movie. it was visually stunning and then had a message that was very important. I thought the movie was well done! The FX was by far top shelf. However, i must say it is a bit dark for an audience younger then 12 years old. Animation is not a new bread of film making. The adult animation porn, is one of the highest dollar making businesses going. I think the rating should be a letter higher for " AVATAR. Loved it, didn't want to leave the theater, would have stayed and watched it again. Great effects, colors, dialogue, a very moving picture.

Don't wait for this one to come to DVD. You need to see it on the big screen, in 3D. The visuals are unlike anything you've ever seen! The music is very good. The acting is (as proved at last night's Oscars) not award-winning. But, it will keep you glued to your seat and entertain you, and engulf your senses.

I am sorry for the 3 hours of wasting time. Boring, no dynamics, very weak production. It has nothing except the 3D effects. Too long for just watching the 3D....
