First, there has to be a story. What's "A Game of Shadows'" story??? The movie was awful -- bits n pieces of this n that with lots of great cinematography, the usual explosions, fires and noise, etc., but I couldn't find a story line. I was excited about seeing this movie, because the first was so good. But, OMG, what a major disappointment. I was so disgusted and ticked off. Maybe I'm not intelligent enough for this Holmes movie or too slow or something. I only gave it one star because it was shot well and had great characters. Not -- not! -- written well.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Mesmerizing computer-generated sets, characters and creatures. Floating mountains! Stunning idea but one of many in Avatar. Ancient plot line within such a creative, imaginative, fabulous futuristic context and spirituality kept me glued to every second of Avatar. Yes, it's way longer than typical movies, but so what? I was too lost in the story to notice the difference. The only disappointment, and I didn't care, was the song at the end. Forgettable. But not Avatar, not ever.
