I thought the movie was "Good", there were parts that I just didn't get, yet it was very beautiful to the eye and heart. I was a upset that the "bad" guy was US!! The US Marines!! not sure I would of made them the bad guys, seeing they are everything but...I also think there was a "Green Peace" message in there, don't know why directors have to turn things into polictial statements!? I do appreciate the creative mind of James Cameron.

We have truly entered a new era in the way of cinematic experience . A new bar has been set. Motion capture is the way to go and actors have little to fear in the way of being "replaced" for it was their talent that brought these characters to life. Having never been a fan of the CG movie before (Beowolf being an example) I am now officially a convert. Much respect and appreciation goes out to all those who contributed to this amazing piece of movie making.

Although long, this movie utilized its time wisly for plot and character development. There was never a moment when i checked the time due to a lul in action or excitement. 3D was well done, not cheesy. Beautiful scenery creates a whole new world with inhabitants you connect with. The special effects in this movie were extraordinary! The way the movie was filmed, you actually felt like part of the action. The action was over the top! A very intense ending battle. The best part of this film was by far the graphic effects and computer generated images- in 3D it was spectacular!
The final hour and a half of this movie is almost intolerable- the plot does nothing to carry the final half of this movie.
Speaking of the plot it was terrible- NOTHING original about it. If the terrible plot is not enough the movie devolves into a preachy tone- chastising shareholders, the greedy corporation, "shock and awe campaign," fighting terror with terror; really? All we were missing was the tag line, "Bush lied soldiers died." Film can be used as a means of social commentary but this movie attempts to do so in the most childish of fashion as if only to insult the intelligence of the viewing audience.

Blues Brothers meet Tecumseh and a remake of the great American indian wars. Too long and repetitive. I would give it a zero if I could and do not recommend it for anyone over 17. Scenery, photography, action and 3d effect are really outstanding. Sorry about the plot (good guys thwart big business same-oh-same-oh) and new age promotion, but it just doesn't bring home any new thought (I still love "The Matrix"). I wanted to leave after the first hour.

I saw this movie with my 25 year old daughters and we all agreed that the plot was as old as they were, the acting was at best uneven, and it was way too long. Take some Star Wars, Jurasic Park, GI Joe, and throw that in with the movie FernGully: The Last Rain Forest and you have this movie. However, the special effects were amazing and having seen the "making of" promos on tv, the CGI did render nuances of the live actors in a way unseen to date. The first hour and1/2 was entertaing, after that...we were all: let's just get to the part where this world is saved from the evil humans and be done with it! I would recommend it to friends, but only conditionally.

The "right" and "left" think this movie has a meaning...and certainly the director may have intended to communicate some message...but...believe me, this is just a fun movie with an ending that is cool. Enjoy it...and BTW...it is not going to be that great on video...it truly is a "theatre" movie.

Don't let the running time of 2 hours 40 minutes keep you away. The time flys by and you are left wanting more. As a matter of fact, this is one I will be back to see again and again and won't mind plunking down the 11.50 for the movie ticket. The 3-D experience is definitely the way to see it. But either way you won't be disappointed.

The plot line was a little thin and familiar (think Dances With Wolves) but the overall experience more than makes up for it. The CG was done well enough that shortly into the movie you really don't even think twice about 8 foot tall blue people. The 3D was unobtrusive enough to not cause any disorientation even during scenes with first person motion.

The visuals were amazing...we saw it in 3D. I loved the story, but it got mixed reviews from the teens who saw it with me. Very long movie...intense...I wouldn't recommend it for kids under 10 due to length and violence. 3D or Imax is a must!

All I can say is that this movie has to be one of the more visually spectacular creations I've ever seen. Especially in 3D, you almost felt like you were there. Outside of the raging alien jungle creatures, it looked like a paradise you would love to be in. The characters were amazing and the acting was done so well for them to not have been in a jungle during shooting. Really this is a must see!!!
