Avatar must be seen and it must be seen in 3D. It completely changes the film. Far from a gimmick, the 3D effects of this movie bring everything on the planet Pandora to life in a way that no other movie has yet to achieve. Do not miss this film in IMAX 3D while it's still here, lest you regret it in the future.
But you've probably heard all of this before.
What this CG blockbuster has that sets it apart from other generic CG blockbuster's (ala Michael Bay's "Transformers") is a real heart and soul behind its message. I cared for the characters during this movie, and those who still have an open heart will find themselves caring too.
From start to finish, Avatar drew me in and swept me away.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
