This was a great movie for all ages. The story is familiar, of course, but seeing it in IMAX 3D was new and exciting. There was quite a bit of adult humor, which easily passed over the young ones, but made the movie even more enjoyable for the adults. Johnny Depp was amazing, as expected! But, I think the real fun was all the animal characters.! One piece of advice - get a center seat, if possible. I feel that I missed some of the magical IMAX experience because I sat far to one side.

I haven't seen a movie in 3D since I was a child and was really looking forward to it. It wasn't what I expected. The movie dragged on and there were very few parts that made you feel as if you were in the movie itself. There were many people sleeping through it which I almost did myself.

If you are looking for the Alice in Wonderland from your childhood this is totally different....while this is Alice as an adult, they left some of the key parts from the original out....you will never hear the rabbit scream "I'm late, I'm late for a very important date"...
Coming from Tim Burton I was hoping to see a darker side of the movie, but was a little surprised. The 3D experience was awesome and the kids will love this one, but as an adult I was looking for a little more than what was delieverd.

I don't go to the movies much, so this was my first IMAX 3-D movie. It was awesome! Johnny Depp was eerie and fabulous. Alice was different - with all the adventures, she acted so nonchalant. The glasses did NOT give me a headache and I am extremely headache-prone. I wish Lord of the Rings had been in IMAX 3-D as well as all the Star Wars films. IMAX 3-D is definitely the best way to see a film. Only one thing: the woman next to me was texting and talking on her phone, which is why I don't go to the movies much. She also got up 3 time during the movie. C'mon people, this is RUDE!

Saw it 3D IMAX which was absolutely amazing as always. The plot was alright as a follow up to the original story. I think Johnny Depp is real weak in this film and I'm getting tired of the Willy Wonka/Jack Sparrow/Mad Hatter character. He is a great and versital actor yet he is just nothing special in this film. As for the film itself, if you've seen Beatlejuice and Nightmare Before Christmas, there's nothing new about this Tim Burton film. Overall, it lacked originality. I will say though that Helena Bonham Carter as the Queen did a great job and was probably the highlight of the film.

My husband and I were both entertained by this movie. We felt the storyline was good, and slightly different from the story we remember, but, was not worth the $15 in IMAX 3D - but would have been worth the $7-$8 in the regular theatre. The 3D was not NEARLY as lifelike as Avatar (i know its probably not fair to compare it to that, but it set the bar higher!!) And it seems like all the cool parts w had already seen in the previews 20 times!!! I was expecting to be "dodging items" from the movie experience like we did in Avatar, but nothing really popped out THAT much, just enough to make you believe it was 3D. On a higher note, the acting was very well, Johnny Depp played his part great!

This movie is not a remake of Disney's original Alice in Wonderland. It's more like the next chapter, when Alice returns to Wonderland as a young adult.
I saw this movie in IMAX 3D. What a great experience! I expected there to be more 3D effects in this particular movie, but my 11 year old daughter thoroughly enjoyed every moment. It was very entertaining.

I would not recommend this movie for children; there were absolutely some "gruesome" parts. Overall though this movie was top notch. The 3D Imax experience was incredible. The acting was magnificent. Be prepared for it to be shorter than expected, and many scenes from the original cut out. And probably be prepared to leave the theater not quite sure what you thought. The excitement and appreciation will come afterward.

The 3D is great but the movie itself falls completely flat. The story is weak and does nothing to draw you in despite the beautiful 3D world Burton created. As a lover of the novel and admirer of Burton, this new story was done justice. The suddle nuances were not given up and the action complemeted the emotional termoil of the characters. It feels completed, but I Would have liked to see it longer because it is such a great ride, it will leave nothing wanting however for the target audience so go with a childs wonder. Nice movie, nice local. Drove 120 miles to see it In IMAX 3D, AMC was good, but needed ushers in the theater before the previews started to remind people the theater was full. Was asked three times to move to the center when I was in the center. The ceiling needs to be blacked out and made non-reflective! The glare with the polarized 3D glasses gave me a huge headache cause you can see it with one eye and not the other.

Overall I give the movie 4 stars. The plot was good, a twist to the original story. The animation and characters were wonderful. We were very disappointed in the 3D effects. There were very few 3 D effects so it was not worth the extra money to see it in 3 D.

This is the first movie I have ever seen in imax 3D and it was absolutely amazing. I loved the fact that there was never a dull moment and I love Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter it was the perfect role for him! All of the actors were a great choice and I would love to go see it again!

A big let down compared to Avatar. Johhny Depp's character was weak in that role. I was hoping that he would bring the action and story line some help. But, very dissapointing and never measured up. Rainy day material at best.
