Saw it 3D IMAX which was absolutely amazing as always. The plot was alright as a follow up to the original story. I think Johnny Depp is real weak in this film and I'm getting tired of the Willy Wonka/Jack Sparrow/Mad Hatter character. He is a great and versital actor yet he is just nothing special in this film. As for the film itself, if you've seen Beatlejuice and Nightmare Before Christmas, there's nothing new about this Tim Burton film. Overall, it lacked originality. I will say though that Helena Bonham Carter as the Queen did a great job and was probably the highlight of the film.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
