Special Effects but Nothing Else Special

The 3D is great but the movie itself falls completely flat. The story is weak and does nothing to draw you in despite the beautiful 3D world Burton created. All the characters feel contrived and ill-developed. Bottom line: One of Tim Burton's worst; he should not have sacrified his usually unique plots & characters just for 3D
No, I do not recommend this movie.
