Visually this movie was amazing. There were also some themes that stuck very true to what Alice in Wonderland is all about. However, I didn't enjoy the overall plot of the movie. It was like there was so much going on, that the story couldn't delve deep enough into one aspect of the plot. It seemed a little scattered. Overall, however, I liked it.

As a big Lewis Carroll fan, I was impressed by how faithful the story was to Carroll's original feel and heart of the story. While the movie had a significantly more structured plot than the book, it definitely enhanced what was already great, and it even added new layers. I really appreciated the work done here.

The title pretty much says it all. I went to see it, for the 3D and it looked like it might be ok. I figured I'd have Burton's twisted take on it, don't get me wrong I like his twistedness, but with Alice in Wonderland, I was curious and not expecting much. Much to my surprise, it was better than I expected and would recommend it to anyone wanting to watch a good flick.

I love Tim Burton. The guy is so creative with whatever he does. This movie is no exception. With amazing graphics, great acting by Depp and Bonham-Carter, along with a great story, this movie is sure to entertain all types. Especially loved the Cheshire cat and Anne Hathaway's over the top role as the White Queen. IMAX 3D gives it that extra umph that improves any movie made in this format.

With out giving out what happens and what to look for, as the previews give away way too much now-a-days... It could have been a bit longer for the price of a ticket, but this was a very well done movie, with great effects and a unique story line compared to all the previous Alice in Wonderland movies. I am a definite Tim Burton/Johnny Depp/Helena Bonham Carter fan, and this movie definitely doesn't disappoint! The animation is amazing the actors are spectacular, I would recommend 3-D for sure, its in your face and really enhances the experience. Way more violent then i would have expected, i would def swing towards a PG-13, but otherwise, spot on. The plot is intriguing and new, if your expecting the Alice of your childhood with new animation,sorry to disappoint, but this not so. i most certainly enjoyed this movie more! wouldnt recommend to young children though.

I've always been a MAJOR Tim Burton fan! I have seen most, if not all, of his movies, and so far, own quite a decent collection of his movies and strive to own every one. Alice in Wonderland was MARVELOUS! The colors, the designs, the costumes, the story, and the perspective of the entire well known story was all wonderful. I am so glad they re-made/portrayed a few parts from the1985 T.V. version as well as the 1999 version. The acting was awesome! Of course Johnny Depp did a great job as always. He is always perfect for the parts that Tim Burton casts him. If you haven't seen Alice in Wonderland or any of Tim Burton's movies, I seriously encourage you to watch all of them at least once. Even the older ones for just the story and the art.

This is a great movie to watch and to be entertained by and it is a very entertaining movie, but if you know the story of Through The Looking Glass and Alice in Wonderland expect the story to be lacking, let's just chalk it up to artist freedom and some Disney influence. Despite Disney's influence, there were some violent moments that made me cringe a little. Nothing too grotesque or distasteful. Also I felt as though there were parts in the movie that could have been explained more that ended up being hurried through, probably to keep young watcher's attention. Regardless, this was a beautiful movie that used the 3d technology wisely. I recommend watching this at the Imax for the best visual experience.

If you miss not seeing Johnny and Tim together - here is your chance again. This is not the same Disney cartoon. The movie is based very closely to the actual book. No singing, no happy happy time during the movie. There are parts that seem too long, and the kids that were in the theatre were not able to keep their attention to the movie. One kid next to me (about 10) took a really long nap during half of it.

This movie from the start got my attention and kept me hanging on until the end. I walked in about 20 minutes late and was not upset by this because it was definitely worth it. My husband and son saw the movie with me and all of us were impressed. Even the husband, whom is VERY difficult to entertain for 2 solid hours, said he would watch it again. Overall, loved it.

I was surprised that I actually liked the movie! I love the novels, and I was hoping that the movie stayed true to them. The movie takes place in the future, so nothing was taken away- just added. I like the direction the movie went in. The Mad Hatter could have had less face time, but Johnny Depp did a good job. This is a good film for the whole family.

Viewed @ AMC First Colony 24. NOTE: Arrive early, about 30-45minutes early. We arrived 15minutes prior and the only seats that were available were the front row. The glasses that were available were very cheap. The experience was not the best but the movie was good. Not as dark as I anticipated but still not a bad movie. I think had we sat farther back, the 3D experience would have been better.

We brought some friends to the IMAX theater and they loved it!! We knew they would because we do. It is a bit of a drive for us but well worth the trip to see a 3D movie. Seats are so comfortable and the big screen makes it enjoyable to watch. We will definitely be going there again for sure!! The movie was awesome.

Liked the 2nd chapter feel to the movie. Alice is grown up and how she respons to the new events in her life that remind her of a recurring dream. Can't go wrong with Johnny Depp

I just saw Alice In Wonderland in 3D IMAX. I thought it was wonderful. I was particularly looking forward to Johnny Depp's performance, but it was Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen that really made the movie. I liked that small details were kept (dragonflies and rocking horse flies) just as much as large story points (the playing card motif from the first book and the chess motif from the second). Alice's scenes in 19th C. London are bleached, it makes her look unusually pale and washed out - a nice stylistic touch that contrasts nicely with the main scenes and is also reminiscent of The Wizard Of Oz. All in all, a great movie I highly recommend. But skip the 3D and the IMAX. Not necessary, and even distracting from some of the details.
