Not Cheesy

I was fully expecting this movie to be a bit cheesy upon entering. But I will still see just about anything with Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, or Olivia Wilde. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it actually wasn't. Story was not bad, acting was decent and there was just enough action and without the movie being too long to hold my attention the whole way through.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Non Stop IMAX Amazingness

I have ready many reviews of this movie saying it was not that great because it focused too much on the hot girl (Rosie Huntington-Whiteley), and was just all action. Seriously people? What more did you expect from a big budget IMAX FX movie? Were you looking for an Academy Award winning drama? You say it was bad because of all that was good about it? If you go into this movie with the right frame of mind, it was amazing. Great effects, great 3D, non stop action. Nothing but pure adrenaline. I couldn't have asked for more to wind out the trilogy. And to top it off, the IMAX screen was the biggest in the state here. They claim it is 10 stories, don't know about that, but at least twice as big as any other movie screen. I could not take my eyes away from the screen for one second. On a side note, Rosie was a great replacement for Megan.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

X-cellent

This was surprisingly good movie. Might have been the best written in the franchise to date. I really love the discovering of powers storyline and all of the history they provided for many of our favorite characters that we see later in life in the past few movies. Combined with some pretty epic action scenes, this was overall a great movie. If you are a fan of the X-Men and/or superhero genre, this is a mus see.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Not Just A Chick Flick

I am not a fan of watching comedies in theaters but have seen quite a few there recently. I was with some friends who wanted to see this, but I was not really looking forward to it as it just seemed like another chick flick. I am so happy that I was wrong. This movie had me laughing a majority of the time. It has a great cast of funny actresses. Many of the jokes were very off color, which I like. It makes you believe that is how a group of females really are when they get together. Except for maybe going to the bathroom in the street. Yes, you could consider this a chick flick, but it is one that is perfectly OK for any guy to go to. Maybe even a good date movie as you will both enjoy it.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Funnier?

I cannot believe how funny this movie was. I can't be more relieved that it was funny the first time. The first Hangover left me wondering what was such a big deal the first time watching it. Luckily, it was a whole lot funnier the second time around. Thankfully, that was not the case here. I laughed the entire way through the movie. I will point out that if you have not seen the first one, half of this movie will not make any sense as they referenced it many times. I know the big question is if part 2 was funnier than the first. It just might be. Either way, it is an absolute must see!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Could Be Better

I am a huge fan of big action movies with great special effects, especially those of the Super Hero genre. Because I am there for the visual effects, I don't end up being so concerned with the story line or acting abilities. Not so in this case. The story seemed to move so slow for what the movie should have been that I found myself bored and kept looking at the time to see when it would end. The 2 small action scenes they had were pretty cool, but that was the beginning and end. The whole middle just trudged along with a cheap love story mixed in. The only saving grace of this was Natalie Portman once again. She is the only reason this didn't get a 2 star rating, but even her performance in this movie seemed so much more contrite. I am sure the story will get better now that Thor has been introduced and he can be rolled into the Avengers movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Not Bad At All

I must admit, I was worried about this movie, previews looked OK and I assumed that, as usual, those were the funniest parts. I am glad I was wrong. This turned out to be a pretty funny movie and it gave a tiny tug at the heart. I think I am beginning to be a sucker for RomComs these days. Even though this wasn't necessarily one, it definitely had it's moments. I found Russel Brand to be hilarious even though I have a strong dislike for him since he is married to one of my future ex-wives (Kary Perry). I definitely recommend this to someone looking for a laugh.

I ask that because that is probably what it would take to fully enjoy this movie. As much as I love Natalie Portman and Zooey Deschanel, they just weren't enough to make this a good film. There was basically only one joke in this movie that was replayed over and over. How many times can we laugh at a penis? Did I chuckle a few times? Yes. But did I laugh uncontrollably as a great comedy should do to me? No.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Visually Stunning

I had a really hard time rating this movie before settling on 5 stars. And I still don't even know how to describe it. It was like going 3 levels deep in Inception but far less reality. The action scenes were without a doubt epic and I absolutely hate using that word because it is far over used at this point. The rest of the story was so so. But just the sheer magnitude of the graphically induced high kept you so enthralled that nothing else really mattered. I find it highly disappointing that there was not a 3d version of this movie as it could have only made it even greater. And where in the world did Emily Browning come from? After seeing this movie, you will walk out only saying one word and for many different reasons. "Wow".
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I hadn't really thought about seeing this movie, but I went with someone who really wanted to due to their love of Bradley Cooper. In the end, I think he did a good job. While it wasn't DeNiro's best role, it wasn't bad. The premise was very interesting and the story kept you involved even though it did leave you completely hanging at the end. Overall, not a bad movie and worth seeing in the theatre.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
