Animation was terrific, some of the best I have seen in a movie with cartoon and actors in the same scenes. Story line slow at first and a bit wierd, but it is very entertaining from the middle on. Same as the book in that regard. Great movie, Depp is outstanding.

I went to this movie with high expectations, and was not disappointed. Tim Burton's adaptation of the Lewis Carroll classic, is the closest to the original story than any other previously brought to the screen. The juxtaposition of the staid Victorian world Alice is growing up in, and the insanity of Wonderland, is vividly presented, and wonderfully portrayed. Although there were a few technical and continuity errors found throughout, they did not detract from a very plush and moving story. I thoroughly enjoyed this phantasmagorical ride through the underland.

Pretty good rendition of Alice in Wonderland by Tim Burton. The approach he took was coming from the opposite side in my opinion where it seemed as if we were viewing things from the characters in Wonderland's point of view, not just a visitor's perspective such as Alice's. Alice was all grown up but still able to keep her imaginative side very much alive for future events where she would indefinitely need it.

The movie was just OK. Didn't think Johnny Depp was consistent in his portrayal of the Mad Hatter. I feel young kids would have been a little scared at some of the darkness that was portrayed. I would wait for it to come out on DVD/TV to see it. Though it was entertaining, it was not as good as some of the other movies I have seen over the last 6 weeks.

Despite grumblings of this movie was no good... I took the whole family out to see this movie in 3D. I don't know if it was the 3D or the Jabberwocky. I definitely felt like the movie was grand in all schemes. The graphics were great, the over exaggeration of shapes were Tim Burton-isk and of course Johnny was a character. This movie captured the Alice story as the continuation and you wanted more by the end of the movie. Good job and wonderful time spent watching this incredible movie.

This was sort of a mix between Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, although some of the events in the movie did not occur in either of the books. However, I think that Disney did a good job of staying true to the idea of Alice being in an impossible place with impossible characters in impossible situations, and it made for a great movie.

First 3D movie I've seen that didn't give me a screaming headache. Visually beautiful movie, even with Tim Burton's darkness. Could have had more 3D effects to make it worth extra expense, but what was there was great. I feel in love with the Mad Hatter. It doesn't matter what he does, Johnny Depp brings a deep sensitivity to all his roles. Alice was stupendous. Helena Bonham-Carter outdid herself in this role. I'd absolutely spend the money to see this again. And again. And probably again.

If you're looking for a movie to stimulate your eyes, this is it. In 3D, the colors and characters are quite marvelous. The storyline was also excellent. Instead of doing a re-make, the movie picks up after the original Alice movie. Alice is all grown up and the story is good. I have three kids, ages 7, 4 and 3. All three of them were riveted by the colors and characters. Good movie.

I thought this movie was really good. I'd suggest you get there early though to get good seats. The theater was packed and we were suck down towards the front and felt it would off been much better if we were like 6 rows back. Over all I thought the movie was great and I'd go back and see it again.

The movie is great for tweens or people who REALLY love Alice in Wonderland. I love the actors but Johnny Depp really wasn't up to par. A group of 18 members of my family went to this movie, because my neice was so excited about it and invited all of us. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised as this was an excellent movie! Great acting and very enjoyable overall, even the men in our group liked it and found it entertaining.....I would say go to this movie and be surprised!

I am not disappointed by Tim Burton and I think this is by far one of the best movies for him to make. The only thing that could have made this movie better is if he would have done his take solely on Alice in Wonderland instead of using mostly Alice Through the Looking Glass. Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter rocked together as usual.

Not a perfect pic, but has elements that make it worth seeing.
The 3D visuals and CGI animation were excellently done.They also did some fun things with relative sizes. Unfortunately, the Danny Elfman score was a distraction.
All good performances but especially Carter as the Red Queen. Depp was over the top, but he seems to be comfortable there.
I was uneasy having a certifibly insane man in his forties as love interest for a teen-ager, my 11 year old daughter didn't pick up on that. She loved that Alice fought her own battles.
It reminded me of the recent Sherlock Holmes film; not the book we read, still a fun film.
Thanks Mr Burton, for giving us a real heroine on the screen.

Holds your attention every minute - very well filmed and and created. Can't take your eyes off Depp and the main character, the child actress from Golden Compass (which was not nearly as good a film) is again very engrossing. I've heard rumors about this movie for a long time. I was wondering just how this remake would be pulled off, being that it is a Tim Burton movie and a lot of his movies can start bleeding together. But I was surprised that this was a sequel and not a remake. Therefore a completely new story that was quite enjoyable. The visuals are great and still a very Tim Burton style. The story was interesting but can get slow at a few parts. Maybe a little long to take young children to though (you could tell when the majority of kids got bored with the movie). I would very much recommend it if you're a fan of the off centered views of Tim Burton. If you want a Disney movie..then be cautious.

I found the movie delightful and wonderful. There was so much to see I was afraid to blink and miss something small. I loved the 3 D effects esp in the wooded areas. The actors managed to capture their characters and portrayed them with skill and believability. All in all it was something I would be glad to see again with a friend.

I loved the movie (but am very partial to Johnny Depp and Tim Burton), but thought that the 3D version was a waste of an extra $2.00. I think the movie was too dark to have any benefit from the movie. I always judge a 3D movie on how many times my 5 yr old "reaches" out to grab something....she only did that once.
I think the storyline was a little difficult for my 5 yr old to get, my 9 yr old thought it was fine.
