I've been to both his concerts he brought to kc. He has not changed in getting his shows together. I wouldn't have been able to see one of the 50 concerts he was going to do. I knew even before this movie I would have missed a great show. He will always be remembered as a great entertainer.

Michael Jackson is a human being who has learned how to see life with his heart. You can see evidence of this throughout the film. This film shows all of the the passion and energy MJ pours into his work that makes him the musical genius he is. He is funny, frank and inspiring to all of those around him. I loved the cool dance routines and the remaking of Thriller. Nice!!! I would definitely recommend that families have a family night out to go see this movie. It is well worth it!!!

I am not a huge Michael Jackson fan, but do like some of his songs and videos. And I like movies with music in them in general and because of the other reviews I thought I would give This Is It a shot. Especially given what they had to work with, this was put together very well. I thought it was better than just a straight concert movie would be because of the behind-the-scenes footage. If you like his music at all, I think you will like this movie.

I saw it last night! I was hesitant at first to go see it!!! but i am glad I did!!!! It was amazing, entertaining and I was so happy to see Micheal as he really is, humble, sweet, kind, polite, considerate, and loving, and most of all a genius at his craft!!!what a talent!!! My daughter became a fan after seeing all of the media hype around his death (although she says she was interested in his music before then). I am glad we went. We would have probably never seen him live at a real concert and this movie experience gave us a chance to see him in his element. It is a bittersweet experience because you're sitting there realizing that he stilll had so much to give the world. I can't imagine what it must feel like for his children or family to see him on the screen...but perhaps in some way it gives them something to hold on. I hope that people will finally realize that he was truly a musical genius. I love the fact that he allowed others in the movie to have their own shine moments.

To all those who think this movie might be a pitiful attempt for AEG to make money, you're wrong. This Is It is very well done. It shows Michael Jackson as the brilliant performer, the humanitarian , and the perfectionist that brought him to where he was. My husband feared this movie might have been cloying or even terrible, but he admitted that he loved it--he said it kept him riveted to the screen the entire time. As a Michael Jackson fan myself, I truly appreciated this elegant documentary. It showcased MJ's talents, the talents of his dancers, musicians, the director--Kenny Ortega. A delight.

One of the BEST movies I have seen in a long time...If you have any doubts about Michael Jackson..see this movie...he was thin but certainly doesn't appear to be having any health issues...He is 50 yrs old and he dances and sings like he did when he was 25...Amazing !!! The dancers behind him are even amazed at his stamina. I would recommend this movie for sure...Going to go see it again and buy the DVD when it comes out... I do however believe after seeing this movie...the Michael Jackson should not be gone. What a terrible and tragic loss..

People who don't go see the genius of Michael at work are really going to miss out on so much. There is no way that I can describe how mesmerized I was for two hours. I was afraid that it would be too sad to watch it but for two hours you really do forget that Michael Jackson died. This movie was absolutely brilliant. It gave me the feeling that I was actually there with Michael and the dancers and musicians. I am so thankful to Kathryn and the family and AEG and everyone who made this movie possible and shared it with the public. It gave us a chance to see a personal side of Michael that I personally have never seen before and it was just wonderful to see him grace the stage one last time! What a beautiful soul! I never even knew that 2 hours had gone by. What an incredible artist. He not only had the knowledge of music and dancing, but he had the deepest, soulful connection to everything he did. I don't believe for one second that he harmed a child. I do believe that society destroyed him by making those allegations. Listen to the lyrics of the songs he wrote. He had a beautiful message for all of us to hear. I will miss him and his gift.

Although I would rather have seen him a-'live' & in the O2, this is as close as one can get to seeing MJ again live on stage & in all his glory. I was looking forward to this movie just to get a glimpse of MJ again but was VERY pleasantly surprised at how well the movie was actually put together. Excellent job. Thought I would cry like a baby but this movie left me feeling 'happy & at peace' if only for a little while. Had things turned out differently, this would have been THE MOST AWESOME CONCERT EVER!! But then again, were talking about MJ 'the man', would we expect anything less from him but his all? Nope. Would he himself push his creative talents to the max to please his fans? INDISPUTABLY "YES"!!!

If anyone still has any questions as to whether he still has it... this movie will answer it. At age 50, he moves like he's 25. He sings like he's 25. All the 'young kids' on stage behind him are sweating profusely trying to keep up with him as he casually performs extraordinary moves.
This movie shows he was not using drugs, not old, not weak, and certainly not faltering. Just think, this amazing footage was REHEARSAL, and he still performed/sang better than most artists out there doing the real thing at a concert. (His 30% is better than other artists' 100%, and it shows.)
This movie gives a good candid glimpse of an incredible come-back concert. It is definitely Bittersweet... just imagining what "could have been".

"This Is It" takes you on a journey into the mind of one of the greatest entertainers in this century. from the first to the last frame of film, michael jackson was master and commander of the stage...music cues, dance steps were executed along with moments of humor thrown in for good measure.
if you go see any movie, make it this one.

All I can say is how sad that the world has lost such a caring individual with the greatest capacity to love selflessly and to create music that has always touched, and will continue to touch and thrill, for decades to come. This movie definitely did Michael justice, revealing what a hardworking, passionate person he was using his music to show his concern for his fellow man and our mother Earth, and during the rigors of rehearsals, constantly expressing his love for all around him. Gonna really miss him and what more he could've offered the world. Love and prayers to Michael's family.

Seeing Michael Jackson full of life and totally inspired was awesome! This was an extraordinary opportunity to enjoy the music and talent of MJ. Unfortunately the last opportunities that we will have to enjoy the King of Pop!!! I sang, clapped and danced to every song almost as if I was in the concert. Also an opportunity to enjoy the genius of MJ and his productions!!! Long live the King of Pop Michael Joseph Jackson who like many great others is "Gone too soon".

It was wonderful to see him at work. I was in awe of him. I thought the editing was great. Would love to have seen more footage. I wanted to dance up there with him. Kenny Ortega did a great job. I loved his message in it as well. I thank the Jackson family and Kenny Ortega for letting us the fans see this.
