"Knight and Day" is just too cool for school! It's got the humor, romance, action and story that make watching a movie so enjoyable.
Tom Cruise is a master of his craft and at the top of his game! And Cameron Diaz is just as brilliant in her performance! They make a great on-screen couple and bubble with chemistry.
From the very beginning, you wonder where this movie is going. Director James Mangold takes you on a journey full of twists and turns like a Six Flags rollercoaster.
This is a film that removes the "seriousness" out of life and allows you to see the lighter, funnier, and adventureous side.

This movie starts out very funny and the action sequences are very solid. You can find alot of inside jokes or other spy movie things, from Our Man FLint, James Bond, Bourne, Mission Impossible, Jerry McGuire, plus a few Im sure I missed. You like the characters, bad guys could have been meaner, Running of the Bulls is cool . Just a fun movie to spend some time. My daughter loved it she is 17 so it appealed across the ages. Go see it and have some summer fun.

It was nice to see Tom Cruise not take himself too seriously or get lost in stereotype. I haven't been a big fan of his or Cameron Diaz's in a long time but this movie totally redeemed them both.
They have great chemistry, though I would have loved to have seen more than just a few kissing scenes between them. The action is spectacular and the writing far better than most films in the genre.
A date night movie BOTH sexes will love.

He plays the same character a lot but this is a great action movie, funny, fast paced, great character stories and lead actors, the whole package. And Tom Cruise is excellent, great sense of humor and facial expressions. Plays a real character with real stuff in his head and heart. I hope it's a big hit. I don't know why the press is saying it's not going to do well, but I guess there is a lot of competition these days.

I don't over analyze movies. If a movie has good action scenes and makes me laugh, then I am happy. Knight And Day did both. 5 of us went together (ages 14 - 46) and we all enjoyed it. Go see it! Great way to spend time in the heat of the summer too.

This movie has great action, with some excellent bits, and immortal lines, however, I'm a little concerned over the premise. An agent is falsely set up as a rogue agent by the actual rogue agent. As a result, the entire resources of the FBI are directed to terminate the falsely accused, but believed to be an actual rogue agent who is a deadly threat to the agency and society in general: A worthy goal. However, in defense of his own life, the good agent goes about killing dozens of innocent, good-intentioned, America loving, patriotic sons and brothers and fathers, who have been assigned to bring in this apparent murderous, traitorous and potentially terroristic malcontent, only to be cut down or slaughtered in their prime by this misbranded agent because he happens to be better trained and skilled at killing than they are. Some of those killed appear to be foreigners who apparently are involved in illegal activities, but, the crowds cheer right along with the demise of all those opposing our hero agent with no distinction between the real bad guys and the innocent, mislead FBI Agents, starting with all those on the jet plane at the beginning of the movie. The format bothers me. We don't know the men on the jet are actually the good guys, but if other FBI agents say words like "safe," then that immediately identifies them as Mafioso type hit men with murderous intentions of their own. Only one of the FBI men was the actual rogue agent, and he shot other agents himself to complete his betrayal. Who mourns for the innocent lives lost, or, are we supposed to believe and accept that they were all guilty by association and therefore deserving of their untimely deaths. When I saw the previews for this movie I figured it was Tom Cruise figuring out, like William Shatner, that he has become a caracature of himself, and like Shatner decided to ride it! After seeing it I am not sure it would go that I would go that far, but it certainly showed the lighter, comic side he can play. I thought the chemistry was good and that it came off as the first enjoyable romantic comedy of the season.

I suspect this movie will get panned by all of the "official" critics. It tries to be too many things...romantic, action-packed, funny, serious. See? I agree with many other reviewers here that if Cruise had gone more over-the-top one way or the other (comedy or action) the movie would have made more sense. It's a cute, summer movie, but does not stand out as one of Cruise's best. Or Diaz's best, for that matter. Though, according to their interviews with the press, "they had so much fun making it."

Reasonable summer fare. Some good comic acting--particularly in the airplane rumble featured in the trailers. Oceans11 sensibility--a chance to watch attractive celebrities have a good time in fun or exotic locations. Plot and character development lack even the rudiments of credibility. I have no problem with movie violence or the release of superhero aggression but the number of times this movie uses shooting people or blowing them up as a punchline took me back a bit.

Super excited to see this pic early. Unfortunately, what we were treated to could only be described as "Tom Cruise's best home video". I kept thinking the whole thing would have been super cute with Katie and Suri attached. Cam Diaz did the ditzy blonde thing and reminded us all just how long ago The Mask really was. Love her in most things, especially the fluffy Charlie's Angels flicks but she missed the mark all over the place here. Cruise should have played it way more zany, most of the time it seemed like everyone thought he was crazy except the audience was supposed to know different...uh, we didn't. The film was riddled with romantic gestures and moments which fell as flat as the worst rom com Jennifer Aniston has ever done. Actually, those ended up better. The best parts have been seen in the trailers for this, so just watch the commercial a couple of times I say. Now, my boyfriend liked it enough to say: I really believe that with better editing there's a good 60 mins of salvageable film. I think he's right, get rid of the plot holes, the comical (and seemingly unintentional) misuse of legendary character actors, the 20 mins of "black in and out of consciousness for multiple characters", the sappy romantic non-banter, tom cruise running instead of a stunt guy doing an awesome kickass stunt, and Cam Diaz screaming in fear while shooting a gun after barely being able to handle a cell ph...and you'd have a rather exotic documentary featuring some rather beautiful locales.
I'll still go see another Cruise movie, as I'm a big fan and I will continue to hold out hope!

I really liked this movie. It had alot of action and alot of comedy. If you like action packed fun and a comedy you will love this movie. I would recomend it to my friends anyone who like actual comedy.

Was it predictable? Yes. Was it entertaining? Yes. Cruise and Diaz had good chemistry. It had good action, it was funny and charming. I would definately recommend it.

We loved it. It had great action to make my husband happy and then it had great comedy and a little bit of a love story for me to enjoy. Thought Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz were great together. Tom Cruise had great comedic delivery. I'd love to watch it again!

This movie was terrific. With Tom doing comedy, my wife and I didn't know what to expect, but it works very well between him and Diaz. The movie is hilarious, we laughed out loud throughout. The action is amazing and its a comedy that also works well as a suspense, on-the-edge-of-your-seat kind of movie. I highly recommend for all to see it. This is the best Tom Cruise movie in a long time.
