Josh Duhamel is the only thing good in this tired, worn, film. Don't bother. The dialogue is shopworn and cliched, and the story utterly predictable. A disappointment on every level.
The trailer gives away most the bright moments in this better-than-average film of a dad and friend taking care of unexpected children. I went in expecting it to be awful and was pleasantly surprised. But with no one in the theater on opening day, I fear it will be quickly gone from the cineplex.
This movie creeps up on you. I went with two ten-year-olds unsure if I could stay awake, and I was pleasantly surprised. The characters mean something, the premise and plot are engaging. I wouldn't mind a second helping of meatballs.
