This movie starts slow but catches up midway. I was impressed with the "electricity" between Fraiser and Ford. Russel seemed at times irrelevant with very little virve. The subject as a whole was relevant and heart wrenching, especially Fraiser's expresion of parental pain with sick children. All in all, well worth the ticket price.

I was disappointed in this movie. I am a huge Harrison Ford fan but felt his performance and that of Brendan Fraser were nothing more than means to a paycheck. I just couldn't relate to them as their characters and there was nothing inspiring about their performances. This is a shame because the movie was certainly an inspiring story. I really thought there were some real casting issues.

Extraordinary Measures was very good and I am glad we chose that one. What made it even more powerful was that it is a true story. Harrison Ford is delighful to watch and Brendan Fraser's acting was exceptional.

A feel good movie that's regrettably forgettable. It has it's moments, but I wish there were more of them. Acting was fine. Storyline is true to a degree. But it was missing that special spark that makes a movie great.

I read the book first as I often will do for true stories and found it pretty close, but so much more powerful. It could have expanded on the difficulties the Mom had with the continued care of these children when Dad was off on his job or travelling but the devotion that the Dad has to his daughter is clearly shown. The actress who plays Megan is fabulous! Such a good part for Harrison Ford, as I notice he was exec producer, too. Way to go, Harrison!

We felt that the movie was very good and based on truth, they did it justice. My husband always gets sleepy in movies and this one held his attention throughout the movie and never once did he look away. This movie leaves you walking away with a little more faith in mankind and a reminder of what one needs to do to get results-stay tough.

Extraordinary Measures was excellent overall. Acting by both Harrison Ford & Brendan Fraser was very good, particularly Ford's eccentric scientist. He was both intense and very funny. The story was heart-warming without being too sappy. Very entertaining.

I saw this movie the morning it opened and was dissapointed. I like Harrison Ford and thought his performance was good but the supporting cast was weak. A good story and they did a good job of framing the illness but I thought it lacked emotion overall. The 'mild suggestive moment' was almost laughable. Why PG?

Please see this movie for the story itself. This true story-based movie will grab hold of you and keep you in it's clutches to the end. The story is so incredible, suspenseful and awe-inspiring that we can forgive the director's over-indulgent control of his primary actors. Ford is just too angry & emotional and Fraser is too calm & matter-of-fact .... much of the time. This over & under angst gives the movie a bit of a "Hallmark movie of the Month" feel. It has the length to have infused some more complicated personalities in the main characters. This keeps it from greatness but it still remains an inspirational tale of heroic triumph!

I've seen a a long time. It's a race against the clock...two young children are dying of a disease related to M.D., known as Pompe. I went to the movie with my husband, who was a bit reluctant. We thoroughly enjoyed the movie!!! We have a son who has some severe developmental disabilities. Thinking it might be too painful to watch. We were wrong!!! Not only do we realize how blessed we are, but it is nice to see how dedicated these parents were to help their children. My husband and I really enjoyed this movie. It reached right into our hearts and had us emotionally involved in the fight for these kids. I was sometimes disappointed in the attitude of the character Harrision played, but that is what happens when real life happens and you are fighting with everything you have to meet deadlines and survive. Really enjoyed seeing Brendan Fraser - had never seen him in anything before. The girl who played Meghann was awesome--loved her eyes. I am a big Harrison Ford fan and loved the moment he laughed and cried upon seeing the giggling children. Also a good clean movie and the "mild suggestive moment" was actually between a husband and wife--wow, hollywood must have missed that one!

I was very hesitant to go and see this movie. Every review I read was terrible. I then said that was silly I need to see it and decide for myself. I am so glad I did that. I thought the movie was great. I went with 3 other people and they felt the same way. The acting was wonderful. The fact that the story was based on real life made it that much more intriging. When the movie ended the audience clapped. It was a feel good movie when you left the theatre.

This is a sad-but-great movie about the lengths to which parents of severely disabled children will go to improve the lives of their little ones. Fraser and Keri play the parents of 2 children with a debilitating and terminal disease, called Pompe, which usually results in death before the age of 9. The performances here are solid and you will spend much of the movie in tears. But, it's a story worth telling (and seeing) about how love can even conquer Big Pharma!

Although we had heard extraordinary measures was reported to be as good as Blind Side, we were disappointed that the acts by fraser and ford seemed to be more about ego and money and less about saving the kids. Once Fraser got into the business of making a cure, his job became about power and control.
The movie was uninspiring. It is true the kids win in the end and I loved that part, the 2 main stars were like out of control children.

This is a heart felt and heart touching movie that appealled to Sharon and me. The acting was good, the story line was believable and supposedly truthful. Characters in the movie fit the actors well. This is a good movie for everyone. Life is dealt with in a touching and respectful manner.
