I really enjoyed these movie..... For me being they were in a jungle environment it was similar to the original Predator with Good old Arnold............ There was great action scenes in it // It kind of gave you an explanation of the origins of the predator and how they trained. .. Laurence fishburne had a short part but he was great in it.

Nice way to spend a couple of hours on a hot and humid afternoon. No huge..."ah ha" moments....or who dun-its. Special effects were top notch and the addition of some new creatures was great. If you go not expecting a cinematic piece of history, you won't be disappointed. Movies for me are a form of entertainment...so this filled the bill.

Predators was fine; a decent way to spend a night at the movies eating popcorn. It has massive plot holes and is fairly predictable but it will hold your interest better than most action films made today.
Adrien Brody does a fine job in the lead but one has to wonder why every single action hero now needs to talk in the Dirty Harry/Batman voice. Also, the guy's about 99 pounds dripping wet; even buffed up you can see how skinny he is, so I'm not sure it's easy to buy him as the toughest guy on the planet.
Still, Brody's likeable as are most of the other actors. The script starts to wear out about midway and it feels as though they should have been given more to do and more sets to visit but a few added twists liven it all up.

Good movie. Take it for what it is, a good movie with decent acting. It was a good action flick.
So many people were expecting a lot more or had really really high expectations or some sort of personal want or need that they HAD to have in the movie.
It was a good movie. Got you hooked in the beginning but died a little towards the end. The references to the 1st movie Predator was pretty cool, helping to connect the two movies. Predator fans Go watch and enjoy.

The problem with Predators is not the acting - Adrien Brody did a nice job as did all of the other leads and character actors. The problem is not the special effects or cinematography - both are fine to excellent. The problem is the story itself. The first half was fun, original and inventive. We got wrapped up in it - right up to the point where Samuel Jackson makes his entrance and we first see his face. What a great moment! Then everything goes downhill at a fairly rapid pace. The movie becomes cookie cutter and inane at times. It loses it's spark, it's creativity and it's passion. It is as if it simply gives up trying and decides to repeat an old formula and in doing so it wimps out. Adrien is no Arnold. First half gets 4 stars and the last half gets 2 or less. Conclusion - rent this one or see it at a discount theater in 2 months.

I had some reservations about Adrien Brody in an action movie, but I happily admit that I was wrong. Brody does a great job playing the austere mercinary leading a pack of very dangerous people through the jungle of an alien planet. This is also the first scary movie that I have seen in a while that was truly unpredictable, and the scares came more from suspense than from physical gore. It helps to have seen the original Predator film, but I think anyone can follow this new Predator film just fine.

I was VERY disappointed with this movie. I love the predators movies but this one was one of the worst ones. Terrible graphics (at times) started out well but after that it went down hill. Terrible acting as well. They could have got better actors. Go see it if you want, but you might get pretty disappointed if you were excited to see it as I was.

If you liked the original you'll like this one. I have been a fan of this series since the beginning and although its not as good as the 87' version it was a solid action movie. My wife even liked it and she hates these types of movies. Go see it!

I had high expectations for this movie but was very disappointed. There was very little action, not enough film time for the predators, and some pointless characters. They certainly tried to do something different but it was not worth $10 or 2 hours of my time. Don't waste your time.

I was skeptical going to see this movie as the original was a great movie but since then anything with Predator in its title has been a little lame.
From the opening scene it is obvious that the director has decided this movie will be an attention grabber. The story is well developed and the characters are introduced individually allowing the viewer to establish a like or dislike toward them.
People get wiped out, as you might expect with a movie in this genre, but they do fight back with some success which continues to keep your attention.
This movie will divide audiences down the middle. Some will love the refreshing take on a classic and some will expect a CGI filled explosion fest and will be disappointed.
I would recommend giving it a go and having an open mind. Movies like this are what they are but you might not want to leave your brain completely at home when going to see this one.

I loved the movie. It was a bit slow in the beginning when they all met but action soon followed. I was waiting for Fishburn to show up sooner than he did but it all played out well. Topher was unexpected in his character close to the end. He totally surprised me!

A remake of the first Predator right down to the sixth sense sensing, quasi-spiritual, big black guy, two of them (one's crazy); a mud covered hero in the final fight sequence, all relocated to an alien planet and a terrible ending. Adrien Brody did the best he could with his role and Lawrence Fishburne's cameo was entertaining, but not plausible... 10 hunting seasons hiding on a crashed alien spaceship and never being detected? ...and crazy too!!!? I don't think so.

As a long-time predator fan I absolutely loved this movie. It captured the original's essence while adding new and fresh elements into it.
While there were some kitschy moments (its to be expected, you can't do a reboot without paying homage to the original) the movie didn't use it as a crutch and was able to tell a unique and compelling story.
I hope they make a follow up!

I've seen all of the Predators movies.As A fan I truly enjoyed this movie.I took my children who've never seen any of the other Predator movies ,they enjoyed as well.It is has action,suspense and humor.My mother also went with us.So 3 generations enjoyed this film.

Saw it with entire family. Total and pleasant surprise after reading a few negative reviews. Don't go in expecting avatar like eye candy. For fans of the Predator franchise...Those of us who actually love the concept formula....this is just enough of everything we expect to entertain us for a couple of hours. The action is edge of seat suspense...but not over the top. The gore keeps the fanatics satisfied but does not make the feint of heart and stomach sick..good movie...go see it...enjoy it....then go back to reality....isn't that the whole idea?

The plot is simple, as with all Predator movies, but there was a lot more dialogue in this one, and it was not actually good or necessary. The one "twist" was forseeable almost from the beginning. I watched this one because it was my husbands turn to pick, but even he came out wishing we had gone with my choice.

Movie was okay, but some of the actors lines were pretty simular to the 1st Predator movie. (Like,"these creatures make trophies of men"). Also, the pulling of the actors spine along with the skull. Some of the story was pretty predictable, "carrying the same gatling gun, hello"? I give it a "B".

I had high hopes of this film based on the rottentomatoes.com reviews and what my friends had been saying. It started off a little a slow as the character introductions were going on and I thought that this was going to be a typical B-Movie film. But once the introductions were out of the way, Predators started to pick up.
There are a lot of similarities between the original Predator and this film - scenes, certain things the group does, lines, etc. But there are also some differences as well.
The point of this film was to entertain and thrill, and it did just that. I was not let down and it met my expectations. I think I agree with the other reviews that this is the best Predator film since the original.

the worst of the predator series, the predators are not really highlighted...more of the focus is on the humans
