Not as good at the first.

The plot is simple, as with all Predator movies, but there was a lot more dialogue in this one, and it was not actually good or necessary. The one "twist" was forseeable almost from the beginning. I watched this one because it was my husbands turn to pick, but even he came out wishing we had gone with my choice.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

After having seen Star Trek, and the continuity between the movies and all of the TV shows, it is a little disappointing that the Terminator franchise did not follow that example of how to have a successful movie and TV series work. This movie was based solely on the previous movies, but more recent fans will have seen the TV show and may not be as familar.
As a movie on its own merit the effects were great, the story line, not so much.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

After seeing the 2 marvel movies out this summer this one fell short. had i seen this movie first I may have rated it higher, but it just doesn't measure up.
However, the special effects were good, and there were some humurous moments. It was a well made movie for its genre.
I would recommend this only after you've seen the 2 marvel movies.
