The only reason I give this movie three stars (as opposed to two) is for the fashion. The greatest scenes were Liza Minelli singing "Single Ladies" and the shoes.
There was forced humor and, at times, they pushed the envelope in regards to stereotypes of the Indian culture. I think more attention should have been paid to the marital/life issues of Miranda and Charlotte versus Carrie and Big (but, I understand they are the movie's central couple). There were even times that the fashion was too over-the-top and just downright wierd.
Just as there were bad parts, there were a few good parts. For one, the mother-to-mother scene with Charlotte and Miranda was hilarous. And the scene with the ladies in the nightclub was fun.
All-in-all, I think SATC 1 would have sufficed as the ONLY film. SATC 2 was a major disappointment... let's hope they don't get carried away and make the film a trilogy.

I love those ladies and their friendship, but it was too realistic for me. Not enough wild, wacky, outrageous sex, outfits, and events. Glad to see it and would recommend it as good not great.

Welcome back my fantastic friends from the SATC Television Series! This movie far exceeded the depressing flick they first put out. I wont even watch that first movie a second time. In this new movie, BIG actually has a personality and plays a roll. Carrie is on her game and more fabulous than ever. Movie #2 brought me back to the stylish fun, crazy girl experiences and comedy of the good ol' days. I would watch this over and over again because it totally cheered me up! I left feeling great, as if I just spent a weekend in Vegas with my good gal friends. Infact i'm going again Sat. with another group of girls. 5 stars!

Okay, so I am one of the biggest SATC fans out of my friends, and I was so looking forward to this movie since i heard it was coming out last year... the 1st movie was so great, that I had such high expectations for this one. I think they should have stopped with the last movie, now they are going to kill such a good thing. The movie was very light hearted, which is not such a bad thing, but there wasn't much drama... The story lines didn't really go anywhere... so Carrie kissed Aiden... big deal, Smith was reintroduced, but the story line with him never went anywhere, none of the husbands were in it barely at all... it was basically a big commercial for the middle east... Half way through i was ready for it to be over. It almost seems as if they changed writers... the jokes were overplayed, the acting wasn't that great... I would have rather just rented the movie when it came out on DVD.

I am an avid SATC fan and I LOVED the first movie, so I had high hopes for the sequel. It was TERRIBLE! The dialogue between the characters lacked its usual chemistry and was akward. There were several jabs at Stanford and Anthony as gay men having an over-the-top, but seemingly expcted, wedding. In the past, Stanford and Anthony's gay status was respected and loved, whereas in this movie it was the butt of jokes and stereotypes. But what was really terrible about this movie was the tacky and obnxious way the ladies, Samantha in particular, handled themselves as guests in a foreign country. When one is abroad in a foreign country, one should respect (even if one does not agree with) the customs and traditions of that country. It seemed at every turn that the movie was ridiculing or dismissing the traditions of aspects of certain Middle Eastern cultures. On the whole, I was very disappointed as SATC fan and as a woman.

I am a HUGE fan of sex and the city and have been since it first started on HBO. I could not wait for this movie to come out, and counted down the days. I am very disappointed by this sequel, and I expected more from the writers and producers. There was no development in the story line, and there was no emotion, the fashion wasn't even there to back up the lack of story! This movie was absolutely great! A group of 12 of us went to see it last night and each one of us enjoyed the movie tremendously. SATC 2 had a lot of inside jokes from the series and SATC 1 which many critics who arent followers wouldn't get and probably why they gave it low ratings. My girlfriend and I are SATC lovers!! But after walking out of this movie we were surprisingly disappointed in it. Both of us wanted to love the movie but something about it just didn't thrill us like the episodes and first movie did. The story to get them to go on a vacation together was a bit thrown together. The ladies are getting older and are living different lives, but they still looked fabulous! I'm not married or have kids so maybe I can't relate but I'm sadden to say I didn't love it.

First, let me say that I absolutely loved the first Sex and the City. This movie, however, was a disappointment. There were some funny scenes, but for the most part, there were too many planted laughs and predictable plots. Sarah Jessica Parker did not do a good job this time in her acting role. Kim Cattrall is always great, but she played the oversexed older woman a little too much. Chris Noth was divine! Overall, there were some cute moments, but I would not see this again.

I loved SATC2 even more than SATC1....I laughed so much and even shed a tear. The movie touch on a little bit of everything from what is forbidden to what is not!! I love Big, but the guy Samantha "ends up" is really really HOT! Go watch it to see him....ummmm!!! I loved every minute of this movie! Great friends and a BIG bottle of wine....now that's how you go to the movies!!!

Listen we made the 4:40 thursday show in Alpharetta, GA and thank goodness there was no line. We were a group of 6 and we all loved it....yes it was long but kept us entertained and laughing all of the way through....The critic for the AJC gave it a D and obviously doesnt know what she's talking about. Not only my group loved it but the other girl groups in the audience loved it as well and afterwards we went to PF Chang's and saw another group of 20 women that had laughed and enjoyed the movie with us... Hey this movie was great for the economy as well...If only they could have served cosmos or mojitos in the movie. It was a great evening! Cant wait for the next movie....and I so miss the show. Would not answer the phone on Sundays at 9pm because Sex and the City was on....Also it reminds me of NY where I grew up....just loved it....

The movie lived up to the hype. It was great to see a human practical side of Charlotte, a relaxed Miranda, Samantha at her best and the portrayal of a childish immature Carrie. Cannot wait to add this DVD to my collection!!!

I loved, loved the movie. If you are a SATC fan you will love it too. The fashion, the shoes, the accessories, the story, the character development, all were great. It was a 2 1/2 hour movie and it felt like an hour and a half. That is a good movie. Don't read the critics reviews. They don't like any sequels. Just go with your girlfriends and have fun!
