I am an avid SATC fan and I LOVED the first movie, so I had high hopes for the sequel. It was TERRIBLE! The dialogue between the characters lacked its usual chemistry and was akward. There were several jabs at Stanford and Anthony as gay men having an over-the-top, but seemingly expcted, wedding. In the past, Stanford and Anthony's gay status was respected and loved, whereas in this movie it was the butt of jokes and stereotypes. But what was really terrible about this movie was the tacky and obnxious way the ladies, Samantha in particular, handled themselves as guests in a foreign country. When one is abroad in a foreign country, one should respect (even if one does not agree with) the customs and traditions of that country. It seemed at every turn that the movie was ridiculing or dismissing the traditions of aspects of certain Middle Eastern cultures. On the whole, I was very disappointed as SATC fan and as a woman.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
