Ok This was the most enjoyable movie. The girls were amazing and the clothes were to die for. What I LOVED more then anything was I related to every storyline in this movie. From running into an X to the mommy melt down to being in the middle east and all the beauty but back ass laws ( no public affection or too much skin being shown.) to allowing your girls to make you wonder about your life and whats right for you or not! DISAPPOINTED. As a Candace Bushnell fan, I don't know what i expected from SATC2. Well, yes, great shoes, cute condos, and DRAMA. I laughed, I had fun... the Moet and Chandon sponsored cocktails was a cute touch. I loved the visuals, Dubai was beautiful... and toher scene as well (without spoiling)... but what REALLY happened in 2.5 hours? Nothing. Where was the climax? In short, the movie was dumb as hell-- like a bad action movie. It just got bizarre. I tink the sequal did the original is disservice in terms of storyline. Maybe they should have waited... then planned for something to actually make a movie about.

I really enjoyed this movie! I went to the premiere at 12:01am and it was worth taking the time away from my beauty sleep. We laughed and clapped the whole movie. The women of Sex and the City still have it and they kept it real in this movie. In my opinion, much better than the first movie. A must see!

For those that have followed the story of Sex and The City, The movie is a must see. It starts off slow, but picks up after the first fifteen minutes. I thought it was very entertaining. I was happy they put the scene in for moms w/Miranda & Charlotte. All bases seemed to be covered. Love Aidan but loved even more how things worked out. Honestly, from the trailers & ads I really wasn't all that interested in seeing S&TC2 but a friend was having a party & i thought it would be fun. I was pleasantly surprised. I laughed & was drawn in to the movie more than I expected. There was well-balanced screen time w/the various characters. What turned the corner for me between a 2 star rating vs. 4 star was a modern feminist theme commentary about women in 3rd world countries. Samantha's character is intentionally brazen as a social juxtaposition to the accepted repression in Dubai. Enjoyable entertainment not to be taken too seriously. I agree that this should be the last in the series. Let's go out with lingering memories not predictably overstated.

Disappointing ... characters as well as clothes. Samantha's character has nothing new to say. The plot twist with Aiden? He just wouldn't do that, so it comes off as script-contrived. Samantha's big shouldered dresses (one with silver porcupines coming off the shoulders) terrible. Some things just don't work together. Why does Rose cry so much? The nanny ending is contrived. What a disappointment

I thought this was a truly funny movie. So it's not academy award stuff, so what? I went with a good girlfriend and we had a blast laughing and clapping at some of the best one-liners I've heard in awhile. The ladies have still got it and I hope that they make another. I loved the movie. It was so wonderful seeing all the women again, and as usual they strived to address real life issues that women from all walks of life can relate to, while maintaining that witty, outrageous, and saavy sense of humor that the show is known for. I thought what they did for this second movie was what needed to be done, there wasn't anymore character development, so the fact that they just expanded on the the plots from the last movie was just right. The wardrobes were gorgous and totally unique. We needed a little Aiden action and it was just enough, and the ending was perfect. There probably shouldn't be another movie, this was the perfect ending to the series.

I am a huge fan of Sex and the City. I own the whole series and the first movie. I went into this movie expecting the same enjoyment as I had from the series and the first movie. Sex and the City 2 was cute and light-hearted and much funnier than the first one. I think this is one of the very few sequels that is actually better than the first movie. I thought the first one was rather depressing, and I really wanted Carrie to walk away from Big after he left her at the alter. Further, the first one seemed forced. However, this one just seems to roll and the girls have fun even with serious issues more like the series. I would definitely recommend this movie; great Saturday night out with the girls! Again I was surprised by the beauty of this piece. The critics had panned it so badly I thought, oh, boy, what's it gonna be... but there were real issues that spoke to real women cuz our audience had so many reactions to what was being said onscreen - it was almost like going to theatre!!!! Yes, there were parts that were objectionable to me but they were so few and far between. So glad I went to see for myself! It's really worth it! Go, people - any people! :)

Critics are just people that are paid to write their opinions, so don't put too much stake on what they say. This movie is great and left me wishing they release a third. If you loved the series, the movies are a must see. Great plot. These ladies may be older, but they get better with age. Their characters continue to develop into funny, lovable, sophisticated women in new and different ways. This movie is PROOF that there is life after a series and a first motion picture for a concept and 4 of the most beloved television characters of all time. It was a pleasant surprise seeing Aidan and Smith make cameos; however, I could have done without Liza [sorry to the Stanfords and Anthonies out there-lol].
