As a Farrelll fan, I would say I'm disappointed. Not his funniest stuff, although I did laugh a few times...all the other idiots in the theater laughed hystarically throughout the entire film, so I didn't hear all the jokes. My girlfriend laughed a lot too, so some people loved it; I thought it was just average.

Without question this was not Will Ferrell's finest performance. If Mark Wahlberg was not his partner the movie would have failed. The laughs are few and not always that funny. A disappointment for those who follow Ferrell.

Plot is simple. Got simple comedic punches, the action scenes are pretty more than average than other comedy/action movies but it still delivers. Especially since Law & Order SVU's Ice-T narrates. That was a big part of the charm! Plus, being a New Yorker, there were a lot of terms that are inside jokes that adds hilarity to the film.

I went to this movie with my husband. We both thought that we would laugh a lot and really enjoy the humor in this film. Sadly, we were not impressed. Laugh out loud funny!! Although rated PG-13, much of the humor is for an adult viewer. Went to the movie with five 13-14 year old girls. The subject of the humor was uncomfortable for the girls at times. I will definitely see again with my husband though.

The initial glimpse of the plot revealed promise but droned on and on with no real storyline.

I've gotta say that Will Ferrell is a hit or miss actor for me. He's either hilarious or downright stupid so I wasn't really sure what to expect when I saw this movie with my friends. HILARIOUS. just one word to describe it. There must have been at least 15 lines that I will remember from this movie because I couldn't stop laughing. I saw this movie only, because my husband likes action movies. Even he found it quite terrible, everything from the script to the acting was completely bad and made no sense whatsoever. Mark Wahlberg is a very good actor who was wasted on this, as well as Eva Mendes (I don't like Will ferrell). As for the comedy part - I did not find it funny at all.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

It's a good spoof of all the buddy-cop movies we've seen in the past. Some laughs, not a lot of "plot" to it. If you want to have some fun, this might fill the need.

Was not even stupid funny. Bad acting, never laughed. Utterly forgettable. I do have a sense of humor, like i loved the hangover. But this was just bad.
