This is painfully not funny. At points it seems that Mark Wahlberg is literally dying to NOT be a part of this movie.
If this was suppose to be a farce it didn't work. It this was suppose to be a comedy it didn't work. If I was suppose to feel good about spending top dollar to see this, it didn't work.
This is not even worth a $1 Red Box experiment.
By far and away, the worst movie I have seen all year.

Hate it when all the funny scenes are in the trailer and you don't know it until you waste money on the movie? Then don't see this flick. Boring dialogue, uninteresting characters, insipid plot, topped off by painfully long gags that never prompted a giggle from the audience. The only highlight was the casting, but why Eva, Samuel and Michael lowered themselved to the level of a Ferrell film, I will never understand. Why exactly was this a box office favorite? America's poor taste never ceases to amaze!

This was the dumbest movie I've seen Spacejam in the '90's. The only difference is Spacejam was intended for a 4-year-old audience. There were some funny one liners and Eva Mendes was smokin' hot, but all-in-all, it was just dumb. My wife fell asleep. Luckily, we went on a BOGO at the matinee price.

Movie had many good laughs and gags yet it was missing something. I almost felt like I was watching some form of the movie, "Airplane" at times but Airplane is a classic....this is not. The casting of Ferrell and Wahlberg is lacking. As time went on, it seemed to drag....it was a long 1 hr 47 minutes.

You know how a lot of comedies have funny moments and then time drags along till the next funny moment. Not this movie! It is literally funny moment after funny moment. Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg are a great team! I was really turned off by the trailer, you know the one with the Rock and Samuel L Jackson strutting around the police station looking all cocky. What a relief to find out the two play extremely small parts in the movie. Mark W and Will F are on screen 98% of the movie. It was a fun movie, light hearted, and well scripted.

A lot of stars, old and new, and they make this one of the better times i've had watching a comedy. When a movie goer doesn't look at their watch during the movie, THAT's a good movie.
I laughed a couple dozen times and was smiling a good portion of the rest of the time.
I'd say see this movie, even if you don't like will farrell all that much (which I can't identify with), you should take the time to catch it.
It would be just as effective buying it or renting it when it comes out on dvd due to the cinematography and the type of movie it was so even if you're not a theater goer you would be missing out if you catch it at home in 5 months or so.
After Credit Content: It's there and it's unremarkable. this was the only thing I wasn't all that impressed. You can watch it if you like but it's an 'out take' and it's not a very funny one.
All being taken into account, i should say again, see this movie. It's hilarious and well worth the $8-11 for the movie ticket or the $20-26 dvd.

There were a number of laugh-out-loud moments, but most of them were already in this movie's trailer. The comedic timing was sloppy. I never really felt like I knew who Wahlberg’s character was, it kept flip-flopping. Is he a tough guy? Is he a ballet dancer? Is he a traffic cop? Is he...??? Not a total waist of money. Enjoyable. Just not going to be a classic.

I really enjoyed it. Not Will Ferrell's best, and I was concerned how well Mark Wahlberg would hold up next to him. He did well, better than expected. Some scenes were a little over the top, but my boyfriend and I have been quipping lines at each other since we saw it. There was quite a bit of laughter in the theater as well, so we weren't the only ones enjoying it.

My wife didn't like it, I thought it was okay. She felt that this was just another Will Ferrell-centric movie, and she doesn't like his humor. I found a more equal character balance between Ferrell and Wahlberg. It had its laugh-out-loud moments, but a shorter film would have made those moments tighter and, therefore, made a more funny movie. It's better than anything Ferrrell has done since Talladega Nights, but his act is just wearing thin.

The movie had it's moments. I laughed out loud a few times. I wish Samuel L. and the Rock were in it longer. I haven't found Will Ferrell to be all that funny in recent movies and he was o.k. in this one. Eva Mendes was hot, and the scenes with her were very funny. Worth the trip if you want a laugh without thinking too much.

Moments into the movie we looked at each other and walked out - it stretched comedy into obsurity as everything was over the top making it unenjoyable, even uncomfortable. The movie tries to pass off childish and outlandish behavior as humor. In a day and age where it can be expected of media to over-exaggerate and warp, I guess this should be no suprise. If you don't watch the whole movie, you can get your money back.

If were not for the 3+ star critics ratings, I never would have considered seeing this movie. I cannot figure out what in the world the critics saw or liked as this movie had no redeeming qualities whatsoever. There were 2 or 3 funny lines and about 100 lines that made no sense. The story line, if you can call it that, was disjointed. I wondered if it was trying to be Airplane in its humor, and fell short. And clearly I was not the only one, as the packed theatre was mostly silent throughout the movie. I was glad I was not the only one who didn't find much to be funny. As we left the theatre, the comments I heard from other couples was a resounding "that was terrible". I would not even put this in the category of wait until it comes out on video. It is not worth your time.
