My favorite local theater (formerly The Bridge, now The Rave) has changed hands. No longer can I print tickets at home, four times as many commercials before the film, armrest missing from my seat, hand rails down the side of the theater missing, and out of focus projection. Complaints are met with a blank stare.

In spite of the good critics and users reviews I must say I was somehow dissapointed. Don't think is something like Bourne because is not. The plot is not so good (complex) as said and all special effects and stunts makes it pure fiction. Another super-hero who saves the world. Who is saving us from all these movies that have nothing in common with reality? And one more thing, the last Russian mole to be revealed in the end of the movie I guessed it almost from the beginning because it was the only possibility.

Though the plot was 'more or less' predictable, the action scenes were NOT. It's really great to view a film with beautifully choreographed action and fight scenes (computer enhanced action actors: go to the gym and train like you're supposed to, esp. IronMan's Black Widow) This film can be comparable to Bond films - scandal with spy, spy goes to learn the truth (and cause meyhem all along the way!). Angelina is one dangerously sexy Mom; she probably could seriously harm anyone trying to hurt her family!!

I feel like this review may not be fair as Salt sits in Inception's shadow, but I was thoroughly disappointed with Salt. The best means of comparison that I can think of is to liken this to a bad version of the TV show '24.' Plots about Presidential assassinations and nuclear war are tired and overused and there is nothing extra or interesting to make this movie stand out from anything else you've already seen. Angelina plays a great Russian, but the character is, by nature, emotionless and pretty boring. The effects aren't anything special either and Salt is, at best, a rental when you have nothing -- and I mean nothing -- better to do.

Salt is rated PG-13 for intense sequences of violence and action. They left out non-stop. Look, the plot is implausible. I've seen that a lot in critical reviews. So what. If I want logic, I'll call Leonard Nimoy. Salt is wicked nasty fun. And it never, and I mean NEVER, lets up for a second. This is a very very fast movie. Blindingly so. Loved it.

Somewhat predictable, however an excellent action movie that had some really outstanding moments that caught the emotions of the characters with some great direction. Angelina was amazing as always however the supporting characters were equally strong, including Liev. Very good summer action flick with some depth and intrigue!

This is a film that keeps you riveted to your seat as long as you go along with its story line...don't rationalize anything when you see it. Just sit back and pretend we are back in the Cold War and Salt is our heroine. I think Jolie is fabulous in this film, and am impressed that she did most of her own stunts, even if she did have a hidden wire as she walked along the side of a building on a ledge. She is a mesmerizing movie star--yes, a movie star. We have so few today, but she is one of them. If you love Jolie as I do, you will love this film.
