This is a film that keeps you riveted to your seat as long as you go along with its story line...don't rationalize anything when you see it. Just sit back and pretend we are back in the Cold War and Salt is our heroine. I think Jolie is fabulous in this film, and am impressed that she did most of her own stunts, even if she did have a hidden wire as she walked along the side of a building on a ledge. She is a mesmerizing movie star--yes, a movie star. We have so few today, but she is one of them. If you love Jolie as I do, you will love this film.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Each Pixar film gets better and better...this one dazzles you with its visual and audio effects...and the dialogue is sensational. Mr. Potato Head is hard to beat, although when you see Buzz Lightyear dance, you will want to jump up on screen with him. The movie is worth his dancing alone!!! You must focus on the Pixar short, Day and Night, that precedes TS3--it is probably the best animated short I have ever seen, and I've seen all the other Pixar shorts from the first one it made to this one. Run do not walk to see this film, but I'm not sure I would take children under 7 or 8, as it is very intense in parts. Bravo, Pixar!
Avatar is the future. You are in the story with the characters. The dimensional experience takes you away from ordinary movie watching. This is not the old fashioned 3-D--this is almost like you are in a hologram. The genius and imagination that created this film must be recognized. James Cameron gave me one of my favorite films--Aliens--and now this. The man is without equal when it comes to making movies way ahead of the curve. Jump on his bandwagon, studios--but you'll never catch up with Cameron!!
I've enjoyed all the books and films, and I enjoyed this film as well, but it played too much to the public's love of dark, scary and special-effects-loaded movies. 6 is a huge book and so many subplots were left out in favor of optical special effects. I love the kids--I've watched them grow up and really enjoy seeing them, but too many were relegated to the background, like Luna and Longbottom and many others. Yes, they are adolescent and the hormones are igniting, but that was not the gist of the book. I would give this film 3 stars for all the reasons above. I hope there will be a different director for Harry 7 and 7. The movie was greatly boosted by Snape and Slughorn--two superb actors whose talents stole every scene they were in..
