Certain aspects were good, others were lacking. The story's strongest selling point in my opinion was that it was not predictable. It leaves you wondering who Salt is. Other than that, cheesy dramatization and dialogue, and physically unrealistic action scenes and the such of typical Hollywood films accounted for the movie's "downside."

Some plot parts were predictable, but there was nothing that didn't build the suspense. And, it was suspenful and fast paced. First time in a long time that I thought I'd like to see a sequel: Because I'm not sure we've seen the last of the identity flips or maybe even of the people who got spider venom or an equivalent rather than a real kill? Why, oh why, does Jolie have to be so anorexically thin?

Very fun romp that is rare to see a female in the lead role of. I heard people say that it was "too unrealistic" because no one could do what SALT does (physically). Well....wake up world because movies like this are developed with male leads ALL THE TIME and you don't hear people complain about them being "unrealistic". With the popularity of "Girl With the Dragon Tattoo", SALT proves again that audiences are hungry for this change. Even if she's not a comic book superhero, SALT is an exhilarating ride with a well written plot that has Jolie as a lead that can drive the viewer through from beginning to end....or to a sequel!

This was really a popcorn movie. Filled with thrills, chills, and a few twists. This movie was a lot more like a female Bond than anything else. It was toned down for the PG-13. I would have preferred it Rated R and brought up a notch, expecially the North Korean prison scenes (very rated G in how prisoners are treated and clothed) and suspense in story telling. Ms/Mrs Joie has the chops, but not much opportunity to show it since 'Changeling'.

I hate previews because they give away too much. I'm glad I didn't see the preview for Salt - no spoilers. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it, on the edge of our seats throughout. With all the action, and all the bad guys getting killed, there was surprisingly little gore, and I'm not sure how may people noticed this, but when hammering the good guys, she mostly incapacitated them without killing them. Nice touch. I could easily have watched for another couple of hours, but now I have Salt 2 to look forward to.
