This is a well-executed animated feature with a lovely balance of life-themes and light humor. Night Fury is artfully depicted and embodies so many of the mannerisms of a variety of beloved furry friends - a stellar character that steals the show.
The only failure is an underlying plot point that seems a bit of a stretch. But the animation and effects are positively breath-taking and even harrowing at times and the end is as thoughtful and bittersweet as it is celebratory and feel-good. This will join UP, Monsters Inc. and The Emperor's New Groove in my collection.

Took my 7 y/o granddaughter. We laughed, gasped and thoroughly enjoyed. The language and violence level seemed age appropriate. We would see it again.

Was an IMAX virgin, and this was the first 3d movie that I saw in IMAX. Never again will I watch 3D with anything else other than IMAX. Despite the PG rating of this movie, I am proud to say that I know without a doubt that the movie will appeal to adults as well. The story was so complex that I had to cower a little into my seat because my eyes started to water a little during a bit of the movie towards the end. Any movie that will make my eyes water, is a movie that I will watch over and over again and never tire of it. Graphics were great. The story was great. The story can be great but the dialogue can suck, but I loved the dialogue as well. Nothing bad to say about this movie. It is a MUST WATCH!!!

This movie is a must see. My Boyfirend and I took our 4 year old daughter to see it in imax 3d. It was amazing. It was a great story and amazing animation. I will be a must buy for us once it comes out on DVD.

Saw this on Imax 3D and i believe that is how it should be watched because the graphics were awesome. you can see the scales on the dragon and the texture of the skin. and the 3d experience was great as well, it felt as if i was in the movie itself! i would definitely recommend watching this. Story is quite quick and action is about what you would expect from a family film but still a great movie to watch for entertainment.

Great movie for our 5 year old son. Content and story line were very appropriate for this age group. We both loved it. The 3-D was cool but the glasses were a bit large for kids (my son wore them for 1/2 the movie - but it didn't seem to make a difference to him!).

My son and I see a lot of films together. This was one of the few films when you walk out of the theater you were fully satisfied. Exciting, thoughtful, clever and most of all fun. We loved it. We would see it again. The 3D was awesome but the movie is the star.

All around great experience - I'm a bit discomforted by the final resolution and the way the "antagonist" had to be dealt with (just didn't make sense - especially with the "ant" analogy), but overall great experience.
