We saw this one in IMAX 3D. The story is great and the 3D was better than any other 3D movie that has come out so far. My 8 year old loved this movie but my wife and myself (33-39 yr old) loved it more. I only watch a movie once at the theater but I plan on going to see this one again.

Absolutely worth the time and money. Well written, near perfect animation, and well integrated 3-D. My girlfriend and I are both adults (30+) we agreed this ranks up there with The Incredibles, Shrek, and Toy Story as one of the animated movies out there.

Finally an animated movie that hits all the marks. Funny, silly, intelligent, innovative and enduring. I took my son who is 9 years old to this movie and it held his attention the entire time. I was lost in the movie as well. I haven't been to an animated movie that kept me interested for more than the first 20 minutes in a long time. It was really well thought out. I love that they didn't just leave the movie to dumb jokes and antics. It was wonderful. The 3D was incredible.

Both my girlfriend and I (in our thirties) thought this was one of the best movies we've scene in awhile. I think we were more impressed with the movie than her 4 year old little boy! We saw it in Imax 3d and the graphics were better than Avatar and Alice. The story is unique as are the characters. Loved it! Would recommend this movie to anyone of any age, with or without kids.

Great movie and a lot of fun. Waaay better than Avatar (not like that is hard!). Dreamworks Animation is getting better with each movie (but still no where near as good as Pixar or Disney, in my opinion).

Overall, the movie was very enjoyable. The 3D effects definately enhanced the experience. This was one of my 1st 3D flicks and I definately felt more a part of the movie this way. The graphics were 1st-rate. The ocean fly-overs looked really cool. The story was good. I liked the character development; specially the father/son. The movie ended a bit abruptly, but with only ~90 mins, there's only so much you can do. I'd say considering 3D movie prices are supposed to go up, this one was well worth the spend.

We actually went into the movie with relatively low expectations. However, although the character relationship storylines were as expected for an animated feature, the overall package was extremely well done and very entertaining. Throughout the movie, the dialog and situations provided plenty of laughs for all ages. And the visuals were excellent ... espeically the 3D effects. The movie was good. The IMAX experience was not. The screen at AMC Mercado IMAX in Santa Clara, CA is not up to IMAX sstandard. Movements of people in the theater can be seen in the background when 3D pictures popped out on the sides of screen and ruined the experience. Rather just see the non-3D version.

My whole family has seen Avatar, Alice, and now Dragon, all in 3D IMAX. This is by far the best. The 3D affects were amazing and the realistic most of the time. The plot was: that just because we don't understand dragons (really anything), why kill them. Learn what makes them tick and that will help befriend them. A little corny, but it worked for this movie in a big way. if I have any critisism, it would be that the elder Vikings all spoke with a Scottish accent and the younger, Vikings in training, all talked like American kids. Also some of the distance scenery was a little like 50's or 60's TV set background painting (Bonanza for instance). Gotta go see it; safe for the whole family.

We always go to the kids movies in 3D and we both are adults, We tend to get a little critical especially for the price we pay. I have to say in the beginning it was a little on the slow side and I started getting antsy. But once it got into more action, It stayed that way the rest of the movie. This is a terrific movie for people of all ages. It makes you laugh and cry and sit on the edge of your seat. It is one of the more original stories to come out of Hollywood in the past 5 years. I've seen this film in three different types of theaters. While the story was delightful in all three, the IMAX experience was by far the most visually stunning. Highly recommended for everybody.

3D is just amazing on IMAX. The movie has good message to children. And the story is entertaining.

A wonderful movie for a family outing. Our seven year old really enjoyed this movie. Just short enough so that he did not get figetity. Lots of action, and subtle adult humor thrown in. The 3D effects were nothing like Avitar, but far better than those old 50's flicks.

Loved it! It was entertaining and intelligent, and had a great message. I took my kids to see it and we all walked out of the theater high-fiving! One of the best animated movies ever made.
