Don't listen to the haters folks! Go see his movie. I saw the movie about 5 hours ago and I'm still thinking about it. Was it amazing? No, but compared to the vast majority of crap that is usually in the theater Prometheus is very good. I'm a 'macho' mid thirties man and there were several times where I found myself clenching, and at times a bit afraid. I could tell everyone else in the theater liked it too. There was this cool, almost stunned silence when the credits started rolling. People were just sitting there not moving. It was a little weird. Some people here complained that there were too many holes. Well not every movie has to explain everything. Some of the best stories ever told had 'holes' in them that allow the reader to use here brain a little. There is nothing wrong with that. And I didn't really see anything in this movie that I would consider a 'hole. Others say it was slow. That makes me laugh! I thought the pacing was excellent and lent to the suspense of the movie. At no time did I think it was slow. Prometheus is quality over quantity. Probably not for the reality TV sheep of the world. Go see it!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Was it worth seeing? Sure. Was it as good as the first one? Not even close in my book. And I was even drunk!! Both my girl friend and I thought it was trying too hard to be exactly like the first. Some people in the audience were laughing alot, but I left with the feeling most people were hoping for more.
Both my girlfriend and I (in our thirties) thought this was one of the best movies we've scene in awhile. I think we were more impressed with the movie than her 4 year old little boy! We saw it in Imax 3d and the graphics were better than Avatar and Alice. The story is unique as are the characters. Loved it! Would recommend this movie to anyone of any age, with or without kids.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I've scene this movie 3 times. The first two times I saw it 2D(tried for 3D but it was sold out both times). The movie was excellent in 2D. Loved it. I really wanted to see it in 3D but couldn't bring myself to sit through it for a 3'rd time, no matter how good it was. Plus a couple people mentioned that 3D was good, but probably not all that different than 2D.
How wrong they are!
I'm extremely glad I saw it again tonight in 3D! Take the advice from someone who has scene both 2D and 3D. 2D is great, but 3D is sooo much better! I was skeptical at first, I'm a true 3D believer now!
First off, STOP PUTTING SPOILERS IN YOUR REVIEWS PEOPLE!! Sheesh. I've read two reviews in as many pages that spoils one of the big twists at the end.
Secondly, the movie was great. I thought I wouldn't like it because of the religious undertones but I was pleasantly surprised. It gets its message across without being preachy or pushy, something alot of Christians should learn to do.
Great story, excellent characters, and good old bloody fight scenes. What else do you need?
