We grownups liked it, but found it unevenly paced and many of the scenes in the beginning to be flat and unengaging.
I think it was the director's problem, because it is a great script and all the performers are wonderful.
It has a wonderful, tearful happy ending and is well worth taking the family to.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This was a film made from a great true story with some really terrific performance, but with a heavy handed script and inconsistant direction.
What could have been an uplifting story became a religious diatribe in places, so I really became frustrated with the whole experience.
There are terriffic performances by Robyn Lively, Jeffrey Johnson, Tanner Maguire, Christopher Bolten, and Ralph Waite, but they can't save the film from being something more suited for vacation bible school, to be perfectly honest.
The first one was bad enough...this one was worse! What happened to the charm of the 60's Chipmunks? Yuck!
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Avatar is really a marvelous experience. I had gone in reading the reviews saying that there wasn't much story, so was really amazed to have a story about how we treat the land and the indigineous people on top the the beautiful James Cameron computer wizardry.
