This movie at the IMAX 3D theater was awesome. It was nearly 3 hours, but it felt like one hour. Great story line, great acting, very creative and special effects that are out of this world. I will go and see it again.

I had heard great things about this movie, but was hesitant to see it because it seemed as if it was going to be over-rated. I was very wrong, Avatar was one of the best movies I have ever seen. I saw it first 2 weeks ago and have seen it 3 times so far since then and I am seeing it again tomorrow. At $13 a ticket for IMAX 3D it is worth every single penny I have spent on it thus far. This is a must see movie for anyone who likes fantastically made, highly graphical and purely breathtaking movies.

My techno friends and family saw this movie and said they were amazed by the effects and the story. My non-techno friends said they didn't like the movie at all and left the theater before the movie ended. Now that I've seen it - in Imax 3D - I do think it is one of the best films and effects I've ever seen. Amazed by the effects and blending of a war and love story into a spiritual event.

This movie was the best animated movie I have ever seen! Hands down. I've seen it in all 3 venues-- Regular, 3D and Imax 3D and each one was better than the other. I wasnt really big on a technologically advanced military going up against people without the same technology however, they did mix it up really well and I really enjoyed this movie! I absolutely recommend it. Keep in mind it is a long movie though and Imax 3D is extremely popular and almost always sold out except for the late show which starts around 10:30 pm. that puts you in at around 2am......... Plan ahead for Imax 3D

Being a person that is not usually drawn to scifi movies, I hesitated seeing this film. When my trusted friends couldn't stop gushing about it, I figured, what the heck. The IMAX experience is a must with this film. You really feel as tho you are a part of the movie. Not only are the graphics and imagination breathe taking but the story line pulls you in. Really a true experience!

This is a must see movie on three counts. Artistically it is stunning. Technically I've seen it 4 times in 3D IMAX and still duck at the same spot when something flies at me. As a message for humanity, it is perfect. The story is set in 2157 and the message is: we didn't get it, but guess what, we still can here in the second decade of the 21st Century!

Absolutely amazed! Saw in 3D Imax twice. Took my 6 year old granddaughter who can't stop talking about it, neither can I. I'm not into cartoons or video games but this was a sight to see. A must see!

Seeing AVATAR in IMAX 3D was amazing. The 3D effects weren’t significant except for a few parts. IMAX was the key. So well crafted, overall, the CGI & reality were completely seamlessly integrated. Stunning visual effects throughout & the action was intermixed with humor & a love story. Something for virtually everone.
My son said it’s a modern "Ferngully." Similar in premise & with enough eco-freak references such as referring to Earth as 'their dying planet." As a conservationist I appreciate the respect for life, even when carried to an extreme symbiotic reference. Cameron, cast & crew deserve accolades of fantasy enthusiasts & I predict record box-office, product licensing & a run on awards. I can't wait for Avatar 2.

I had NO intention of EVER seeing this movie. Not my type of movie. I went to see it because a friend highly recommended it. I think it is the best movie I have ever seen. It was visually stunning and did not seem like 2 hrs and 40 minutes-you are so involved the whole time. Excellent movie!!!

So glad I saw this in IMAX 3D. 3D was used consistently and not just for one or two scenes that popped out intending to scare the audience like other 3D movies. The story was excellent! The combination of 3D and clear audio made me feel like I had been transported into the movie. 2 hrs and 40 minutes flew by - best money I ever spent on a movie! People would prefer going to theaters again instead of renting movies if more movie experiences were like Avatar.

The 3D special effects are amazing and the story has a clear message. A high tech Earth Army in the future goes to a strange planet to steal precious resources. Forcing the native inhabitants through intimidation and violence to give it up. Hopefully, all Americans including our troops in Iran and Afghanistan will see this movie and get a clue.

My first thought after viewing AVATAR in 3D IMAX was I got to see this movie again! It was spellbinding throughout. I heard others as I was leaving the theater declaring that they wanted to come see it again. No doubt, this is going to be a classic. I hope there will be a sequel to it!

Although the general plot was predictable, I appreciated the special effects. The IMAX 3D product is impressive. I had mild motion-sickness for about half of the movie, but I stayed and still enjoyed it. The best part of this movie is seeing things you've never seen before in a totally new way.

John Cameron has certainly produced an evocative and thoughtful film. Not only does he entertain with the beautiful CGI, but he also is able to force us to think about our country's military position in the real world in which WE live. He does it quite eloquently, too. The two hours and forty minutes of this movie unfold without any banality or heavy handed propaganda. I hope that after the patina from the great special effects used in this movie wears off, that the majority of people who view this very special movie will begin to think critically about our position in the world of today.
