Seeing AVATAR in IMAX 3D was amazing. The 3D effects weren’t significant except for a few parts. IMAX was the key. So well crafted, overall, the CGI & reality were completely seamlessly integrated. Stunning visual effects throughout & the action was intermixed with humor & a love story. Something for virtually everone.
My son said it’s a modern "Ferngully." Similar in premise & with enough eco-freak references such as referring to Earth as 'their dying planet." As a conservationist I appreciate the respect for life, even when carried to an extreme symbiotic reference. Cameron, cast & crew deserve accolades of fantasy enthusiasts & I predict record box-office, product licensing & a run on awards. I can't wait for Avatar 2.
